This build is great, you and john are going to have unbelievable trucks when they are done! How much of the 78 degrees will you be able to use. Nice work man. Ty

THANKS.

I haven't trimed the stops yet but at 52 degrees the tires don't hit at all.

I am gonna take a wild guess and say we will be able to get 58-65 degrees.

The good thing is they are not even close to being maxed out at the degree.

Nice and smooth!

Quick notes.....

Motors are 5mm shorter. Armature(shaft and stack), Can, and magnets were all shortened to do this. Can is lathed and milled, along with all the lightweight upgrades. Team Brushes and Springs with a Type T 35t Armature that has been ground polished dyed with drill balance.

Normal motor 180ish grams......Vapor Lightweight 150ish....these, 130 grams...so 4.64 ounces or so.

These are still very early prototypes. I am not sure I chose the right wind or armature.....I am making others to try if these are not the ticket.

And before you go "I want a set!"........I have not really sat down and figured out the price, but expect it to be well over $500....

Thanks to Marc my machinist, Jenkins for the magnet cutting, and anyone else who helped...

Absolutely amazing!

Again I am humbled by your motor building know-how and willingness to "take it to the next level"

I am truely happy to be a part of the BROOD family.

And I think you just found me the 4 oz I need to hit my 5.5 lb Target weight

Eddie and I were chatting a little last night and he mentioned these would probably make a great 2.2 motor. If the work in a 5.5 lb Super, they should be great in a sub 4lb 2.2.

What to do with the Vapors I just bought....

By the time these are fully tested I should be ready for something new. My recent trend seems to be new cans every couple months.

I can't wait to hear your real world input on these Jeremy!

That is by far the finest looking crawler I have seen. Those axles are wicked, the carbon work is art. Are the links Titanium or aluminum? Will you be 5.5lbs even with the weight slugs?
