Default Rowdys Super Meat Sword

After seeing a couple super XR's at Nationals I knew I had to have one. I talked to Casey at nats and checked his super xr out to see how to go about it. When I got home I started getting together a list of parts that would be needed to build a super XR. Before I pulled the trigger on ordering the parts I got a line on a used already built super xr that was for sale by gdhknives, so I bought it.

Specs:
Hitec 7980 servos
Mamba Max escs
CC becs
Vp motor plates
Vp upper link mounts
Axial aluminum knuckles (Vp Wraith Knuckles to come)
RC4wd gears
45t Fantom motors (Brood Stubbies to come)
Blast wheels (CF YTC wheels to come)
8"Khaos tires (7-5/8" Rovers to come)
Super Juice chassis
Almighty axle mods

I plan on tearing it down to check everything out and rebuilding it with some new parts here and there to make it my own. This is my first experience with a super so any advice at any time will be welcome.

Here is a pic as it is now, I just unboxed it and put the wheels and tires back on, have not changed anything yet.

Curious to see how the axle is modded to maintain strength.

The higher rollout needs either a strong drag or really small pinions to compensate as compared to the 2.2s you are used to. Looks like a great start, for sure!

Not quite, the chassis and links were Caseys, he sold them to gdh when he moved on to the Super Agent.

14" front
13-5/8" rear

I will have to pull the hubs later and measure them for you, getting ready to step out for a bit.

That's at ride height with 7.5" tires. I also run internal and external springs, so ride height has a bit of a squat to it...

x2 on what Jeremy said...I'm running 8" tires, but I still only have 4" under the front lower link bolt at the skid

And what at full extension/full compression?

Looks good Rowdy! Glad to see another super being built. I have said it before,... even if competition went away with the supers, I would still keep mine and drive it since its so much fun.
