I skimed around the thread and could find this question, Why are you running TLT shocks? How do they work? Soft/Hard? Frame looks sick and the gun rack is cool "Free to bear arms" I like it.

Yes those are stock TLT shocks.

Chassis and truck look great.

Why TLT shocks? Mostly because they came with the kit, and the springs seem about right for this rig. They have a nice look, but they're not the best performing shocks by any stretch of the imagination. Not very smooth, limited travel and no spring selection whatsoever. It happens that the springs they come with work okay, so I left 'em on there.

If you want better performance, a set of Pede fronts (the shorter ones) with Mini LST springs (green front, silver rear) works very well. You have to watch frame clearance in the back, though, with fatter shocks. Even the TLT shocks rub the frame unless they're mounted inboard on the axle like the pic below.

Also, you'll want to single-narrow the backside of your rims so they don't hit the front links at full lock, but you'll probably do that anyway.

The gun rack is on an Autographics sticker sheet, along with the steer horns and some other rednecky stuff. It seemed fittin'

That's a possibility. But I wanted to narrow the wheels anyway

And you bet it'll make the trip in April. I show this thing off every chance I get.

After sobering up a little, I can tweak the front pinion angle a bit. For this initial build, I just pulled the parts off the development mule and put them on the prototype without making any adjustments. Since the mule was made from .032 sheet and the proto is 1/4 inch, the triangulation geometry's off a little, resulting in a droopy pinion. Make the top links an eighth longer and the problem will go away. Since they're Jato turnbuckles I can do it in about five minutes.

And it's still nowhere near as steep as a Bruiser's.

Default BB+SW2= alphabet soup?

Thought I'd try Bender's SW2 link mounts on the Buster chassis, and I'm glad I did. This thing deserves a better link mount than a homebrew hackjob, and the SW2 fits right in with all the shiny aluminum

I must be that lucky or that good, I didn't have to change the upper link mounts on the frame like I thought I would. These fit, no extra holes required.

The Maxx shocks and Mini LST springs hold up the truck better than the TLT shocks & springs, and the pimp lean is gone. Production chassis will be cut away in the rear for shock clearance.

Are you going to have more mounting holes on the production version?

Wasn't planning on it. I prefer a clean look, and you can play with the axle end of the link to make your length adjustments. I may add another shock mount in front if you want to jack it way up, but I'm thinking not.
