You suck, period! I dunno, no one has posted a single thing about it yet. Not that I've seen. |

I almost bought it Sunday night. I would have had it by now. In the mean time! Bored, and feeling productive for a change I put in some new pistons in the shocks. I bought some RPM 2 stage pistons for my Slash, and they work pretty good so far. Haven't ran them a whole lot. http://www.rpmrcproducts.com/faq/pistons.htm I had left over red pistons, and they say those are slightly lighter than a Losi #56, which is what comes with the truck. Slightly lighter piston, and I have a slightly lighter truck, and want a slightly slower suspension, so I filled them with 40 weight to start. Why? Why not. |

I picked up a 13.5 Novak motor this morning (it's nice to live within 10 minutes of them so I could pick it up). I installed the motor with the same battery and a 12T pinion and I'm not really impressed with it so far. Runtimes have dropped by atleast 15 minutes, it gets way hotter than the 18.5 and the wheelspeed is not much greater because of the lower pinion gear. I might put the 14mm rotor in to see if that helps. Maybe the 3S ESC is the way to go with this system.

Im real interested in what you think of these. On my Axial rig I run full droop with Revo shocks. Traxxas makes something along the same idea and Ive been very pleased with how I have it setup. I run 40wt in mine already but would like a little slower rebound without effecting my compression to much. Have you run the truck on some real lines before this to get a good base line for comparison?

Oh? How do you know? Have you tried them? Quote:
I've run the truck prior to installing these only twice for a total of almost an hour. So... a good base, maybe not, but A base, yeah. Thanks! Got some replacement CVDs, so time to put those together and I guess I'll run the bad spools for a couple more until those new ones show up. I'm anxious to try out those pistons, and just drive this thing. Sucks buying something new, that you know is already broken.

[QUOTE=EeePee;1964302]Cool. Can't see the 3S Goat making any difference. You got your drag brake turned off? The 3S does make a big difference. I tried running a 3S lipo on the 2S system and the wheelspeed almost doubled. Unfortunately, the ESC shuts down after 2 or 3 minutes with the 3S. The ESC is set in the Robotics mode as suggested by Novak (no drag break). |

Oh I gotcha, I thought you meant the 3S Goat, not your older Goat on 3S. Yeah Novak says nay on the 3S and the 13.5 motor. Go put the 14 mm rotor in. |

That's an awfully bright black paint job. What's with the TCS suppositories on the hood?

It's all black on the other side. Only the best suppositories for the Losi. |

Got the new spools and worms and CVDs the other day. Ran a couple packs through it. Made some sweet lines, some surprised me. Didn't notice too much of the shock piston action, but the thicker oil was a good move. Went to bed happy. Next day I swapped out the front foams for some old NWTT Ruby Red Hybrid Reach inserts foams things. I remember them working well in the Losi Claws back when everyone ran the Claws. Also, I added 3 ounces to each front wheel. Oh, and punched 4 holes in the front tires. Now it couldn't make all the sweet lines. But it made different sweet lines. Give and take I guess. The main one was a sidehilling super master move, and the high side tire lifts and takes the truck with it and it flips over sideways. Didn't do that without the weight. Maybe thicker oil to slow it down more, or maybe that was the shock piston action, made more apparent with the wheel weight. Either way, went to bed not happy. Next day I competed with it, and did good. Podium spot. No dig, indoor tight ass course was a little rough, but otherwise it faired well. Really weak in the power department, sometimes it'd just stall. More power, more speed wanted. No, needed. |
