Got the new tires. Comp Claws up front, stock tire in back. Same NWTT hybrid red foam as the stock tire had in it, four holes punched for air escapage. Made a video of the before and after, though it's not exactly conclusive. But, you should get the idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5Ojh5vTcOc |

It will be interesting to hear how that works out on the rocks.. the underdrive/overdrive thing has always been one of those things, now you added another variable. it will either work or not I guess... yadda |

Cool! I've never liked the overdrive/underdrive stuff but you can't argue with that. Of course, it might turn a little tighter if you used the dig |

I have my non dig Axial set up with the fronts overdriven and I have no regrets, problems, issues, bindage, etc with those so I'm figuring I'll be fine here. Also, I imagine the tire will squirm and give a bit if it ever gets to the point that the whole thing will be bound up. I doubt there will be a problem, but we'll see. I don't believe in worm stall either. Things stall when you can't apply enough power to overcome the stall. I don't think that's a problem with the 13.5 motor. Dig? Blah! |

Electronics update. Killed the cases (inner, outer) on the Airtronics 94780M. Therefore swapped over to an older 361 servo, it has 200 ounces of torque. With the leverage of the steering system not really in favor of the servo side, this 200 ouncer was acting more like a 100 ouncer. Which in turn was working the Goat's internal BEC hard. I tempted the servo at 120, and the ESC at 160 degrees! And, I'll call it pure coincidence that the truck was getting bound up all the time last night on a couple test courses we ran. It had nothing to do with the tires. In fact I can say that with confidence because I've run the staggered tire set up a few times before last night. But I did get the motor up to about 165 degrees! Yikes! Axle input shaft temps still stayed below 90. Typically I never got the ESC warm, or the motor over 112. The replacement servo parts can't get here fast enough. It's like everything snowballed once that servo broke. |

Ain't a dang thang wrong with yellow bizzatch! It's creamy looking too. No dig yet. Servo is sitting here on the table waiting for the right moment. |

I think servos are cursed.. When I shattered the front case on the rock racer, it snowballed for me too, driveshafts, wheels, links etc, haven't put a full batt pack through it since. And your truck could use a new shade... From leads you to function... |

| Okay, seriously. Check this. So out of boredom and curiosity, and peer pressure, I put the dig servo in. Got everything mocked up and then lined up and left it all a little loose to get it all positioned and I plug the servo in and nothing. What to do, what to do. Brand spanking new $30 servo... I jiggle the wires. It comes alive for a second. Jiggle, work, no work, jiggle, work, no work. Brand new servo. I'm going in. Signal wire is not connected to anything! Sweet! Soldered it. I got dig now. |
