Wow, thats pretty cool that those rod end balls are that light !! Are they an Exact fit ?? Do they come in other colors? And lastly, what rig are they originally for? I like that idea, and will more than likely be doing the same thing !! Thanks for the tips !!

The balls are made for the ax10 and i got them to fit in my moa but they are a very tight fit in the revo rod ends so i tried them on the losi to replace the revo balls i used when i upgraded to 3mm ti screws and they fit nicely, there is a tinyest bit of slop but that could just be ware on my rod ends i think as the bottom links have the same slop and they still have the losi balls... part number is SCP160B07 and i havent found them in other colours but if you find other colours let me know

Ok, I don't know Axail's at all, but correct me if I am wrong....
Axail's use standard fasteners...right?
Losi's use metric fasteners...Right?

So wouldn't that mean that the rod end balls are machined on the inside for a standard size screw where as the Losi uses metric, thus resulting in a little extra bit of slop in the linkage system....??

Hulksta do they fit snug around the bolts and lower link connection shaft? If so I will definately order some up. That is a decent weight savings !!

Axial use the metric.. mostly M3 screws
Losi use UNC (i believe its the standard US thread?).. mostly 4-40 screws

So yeah using the losi 4-40 screws in the axial balls will have a hair of movement but you will only notice it is your screws are loose its a good excuse to upgrade to titanium & alloy 3mm screws at the same time, its real easy just grab a 3mm tap and tap about half the thread then fit your new screw
Ive got 3mm in all my links/shocks... then stuck with the 4-40 for the driveline/chassis

Bit of an update... i got my weight system for my wheels finished off, i ended up making some changes from the first one i made

I can run up to 8 weights and each weigh 15g i can make bigger ones at 30-35g but the 15g ones seem better choose for fine tuning...

As you can see i run a heavy front, its good to flick the rear of the car with the servo since the back is so light it helps to steer with a rear dig...

What springs do you run for your full droop setup?

Hi mate, if your going to try droop check this out
http://www.crawlanz.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=803

Im currently using a combo of the springs in the pic at the bottom for a semi droop setup.. ive got a full C-582 for the droop, and a cut (just shy of half a spring) C-608 for compresion
This seems to be working best for the light rig with outboarded shocks.. i run no weight in the rear and 405g tyre/wheel/weight up front

Checks the worms, this is the front that ive been running all this year, still in good shape..

Now something else i had to change is moving my servo forward to keep it in spec for sportsman... so ive made a new servo mount..
RCBros bottom, mine top...

not much change in weight..

This is a pic from top, servo horn forward of the diff?? hope its right??

Hi Tom, I've been using black CV joint grease, it's anti seize and different from what everyone else went with so thought I would try it, everytime I open the case the worms have a good coating, only down side to this grease is cause it's black you can't see the grease change colour with wear...
I grease every month or so, and only ever opened them for a full clean twice this being the second, both times I've pulled it apart because I thought they were failing, first time it turned out to be the greasing grub screw wound in to far and just touching the spool lol, this time it's the worm bearings... It's going to be interesting how the worms go inthe MOA cause I'm thinking the fact this rig is so light it's reducing wear??

Sorry if I'm not up to date on the sportsmans rules, but why did the servo need to be moved forward?
