Everyone is getting ready for the next season and keeping quiet about their upgrades.

great build! I'm amazed at all the weight savings...... it's like watching an episode of biggest loser!

Anyway you can post some pics of the links from the rear looking towards the front of the links flexed? I just gotta see how you are avoiding hitting the driveshaft and/or the upper links? I know you moved the mounts out and back, so maybe that did it.

Bit of an update... its now a sportsman only rig

The rig is being rebuilt AGAIN this time loosing even more weight!! not fully finished but i though i would update while waiting on some stuff...

Heres some of the bits pulled from hehe

Ok i'll start with the nomadio rx...

Bit on the heavy side so i pulled the case...

Then removed a few things

Then heatshrunk it... almost 5g gone!

Something im trying this time around is ceramic bearings in the tranny and on the worms (im still running the stock worms in this too, thinking of seeing how long they can really last haha)

The bearings im using are from Avid..

No pics but i removed the dig from the tranny also, some of the other things are 20* C's, i removed as much wire posable, short sensor cable, removed switch and fan off the ESC, lowered chassis braces to the body mounts, new steering link machined down to 4mm to reduce weight....

Whats it weigh? - wheels/body (without the lipo its 1020g)

Still got much more to do to loose weight oh and weight off the rig too

Looks good! I like that Rx. Did you just coil up the wire inside the shrink?

I got a few crappy pics with my iphone (camera batt was flat) when i was doing the ESC and just thought i would toss them up

Ok this crappy one is the mamba max pro with the switch removed at the board and shorter rx wire added..

Fan removed.. i could remove the casing but i think it looks better with it on

And this pic... well i really dont know what this was taken for

And this is the MMP after (before was 105g with the cc bec, not sure what the bec weighs?)

I took this pic when i pulled the servo apart to repair damaged wires, i found this to be a real pain!

And this was the rig finished ready for the comp.. had to fit a 7955 i had spare for the comp as the 7950 was dead, seem to work ok tho to get a 3rd at the comp...

The boss claws worked well, got a new cut i tried and they really hooked up! foams were (front)nova firm inners, proline duals outer memroy foam (rear) proline inners, losi oversized memory foam... (i wouldnt use this rear foam setup in a heavy rig)

Thanks Nec Im always happy with how this rig goes, it felt different with the boss claws and i might try a lighter oil since its got less bounce

Weight comes in at 1040g no batt/wheels/body but includes body clip, wheel nuts etc but your right! still more weight to loose and i know where im taking it from

Perfect!! thanks for taking the time to do that. It appears like there is a little rub every now and then but not bad at all!

I'm working on a fix for the front right now. I moved my rear mounts on the axle up last night which made a big difference. I'll post some pictures later.

Amoung making stuff for other projects i decided to make some new links for the rear of this...
From the top is stock LCC upper lathed down, new alloy upper with larger 4mm threads cut into the alloy
Delrin links i was running in the rear, ti links i made to replace them (thread not cut to length yet)

Weight???

First the uppers...
Stock

New ones (no change, but now got the larger thread)
