Proline's sorrca legal crawler tires seem to be happy accidents, I'm happy about their current offerings for the most part.. 2.2 tsl & 1.9 tsl xl. Tire vendors who are more active in our community will fill the void for enthusiasts. No big loss.

ProLine just recently released a slick tire for 1/10th off road buggy racing despite the fact that all other companies had slicks and despite the fact that slicks are all the rage at places where they are allowed. This shows ProLine isn't exactly worried about jumping on every trend immediately.

Since the competitive crawling customer base is only a fraction of the amount of people that race 1/10th buggy, I don't see them rushing to meet SORRCA rules

Still doesn't change the fact that they are missing out on some sales of two different tires. It doesn't matter if its one sale or a thousand sales, they are missing out on that money.

That's what I mentioned in email feedback, it's bad business to limit sales... But hey its not my business.

Wow! Deep rooted issues against SORRCA or what? May I suggest a therapist and more fiber in your diet,...should help a bit.

Time to take your sarcasm pill.

My deep rooted issues with SORRCA are ones that I take up with them in the rules topic.

Well, for anyone interested in trying out the tires, RPP has them in stock. Even though they're .01 inch too tall.

I don't see what the big deal is, a vast majority of competitive toy truck people use the same brand/model tires, so it's close to a spec class anyways... The SORRCA rules don't apply to me as I don't compete, nor have any desire to. I buy what I like, not what the latest flavour of the month is. I would buy these, but they're about .25" too big for my truck, and would look out of scale. If they were the right size, then yes I would buy them.

But if you don't compete, how do you know what tires people that do compete are running?

There is quite a spectrum of competitor tires I've seen.. Pitbull, proline, rc4wd & voodoo. With varied tires from each manufacturer. A guy I know does awesome with rc4wd 1.9 mudbashers.

I might try these on my Wraith Spawn. I think they'll make a good trail tire and look better than the stock 2.2 ripsaws. I always liked the flat irons and still run them on several of my trail trucks. If these were comp legal I'd definately use them on my class 2 truck.

By looking through build threads on here, which a lot of them are labelled as C2 compliant, and mostly running PB's.

Don't take it to mean that I don't like compers or doing comps, it's just that they don't interest me. If you like it, cool. Keep building them and keep having fun doing it. Everybody is allowed to build what they want, to suit their taste, but getting your jimmies rustled because the tire isn't the correct size for something you do doesn't help anything. You guys have more than enough choices already. Again, not everybody competes.

As I posted earlier... if someone doesn't compete, why do they care?
Why post in this thread?

If you don't compete, I take it your opinion doesn't matter/stack up if you aren't part of the SORRCA nuthuggers? Last time I checked, I do have the option to purchase said tires and use them if I wanted to. You guys are making a huge fawking deal out of nothing, Proline doesn't give a shit if you won't buy them, because there's plenty of people that will.

The thread is mostly geared towards enthusiasts who participate in sanctioned events. Everybody's opinion matters just as much as mine, which is not much at all.

I don't see how it's a good business model to limit sales. Even one more sale is still one more sale. Its either apathy or ignorance of sanctioning bodies.

As far as this thread is concerned, no... the opinions of people who do not compete do not matter in this thread.

and this right here is why that opinion doesn't matter in this thread, because you can buy them and run them... people who compete can not buy them and run them in competition.

correct me if im wrong... isnt this forum primarily occupied by compers and scale builders... for scale purposes this tire is out the window (its too big, and a replica of no real tire) , and if you cant comp with it, it is useless for our purposes. i thought that was the point of this thread

Looks like a BFG mud terrain and it really depends on the build. Jeep Wranglers can stuff some pretty big tires.
