We got the first shipment of DTX scale tires in so I figured I would mount some up on different brand wheels for you guys to see. They fit the Vanquish and RC4WD wheels well.

I have a build in progress for the Vanquish wheels to go on but its not quite done so they had to go on the CR for now.

Is the white lettering on both sidewalls, or just one?

Well that's not that bad then, could always run the white lettering on the inside like most guys do with 1:1 tires.

Well RPP has the "Deep Woods" 1.9/2.2s and they are apparently max size, 4.75 on the 1.9" and 5.9 on the 2.2". Not much on the "scale" side.

You must mean how Duratrax/Hobbico has been sponsoring countless events since 2007 right? How Duratrax/Hobbico support this forum right?

Wow. Why the hate on a competitor? It's not classy to bash a competitor on a post about their products. I didn't expect that from you.

I would bet these Duratrax tires are better than some RC4WD tires.

Duratrax is part of Hobbico which owns Axial. I don't know if Duratrax supports the site directly, but still.

I saw some Deep Woods in action on one of my bud's rigs last weekend. They are very soft and will be just as capable as any of the other big sticky 1.9s with a good driver. I liked the fact that the tread blocks are very tall and squishy... lots of bite. The white letters started rubbing off immediately... so take that as good or bad depending on your visual preference. I'll probably try a set of Showdowns sometime myself.

That's because they're not a competitor...the other companies I mentioned are though

They are a competitor. They might not be a direct competitor, but they're definitely competition.

If you think they aren't in the same league as your tires, which I think we would all agree with, that's even more reason you shouldn't be posting the petty hate on this thread. Color me confused.

We have sponsored several of the nationals, multiple years of crawlapalooza, ecc's, the crawling events at Motorama, Axial Fest and several small comps.

Look at my avatar...

Duratrax/Hobbico has ran several banner ads every month for years on RCC.

I have done multiple giveaways that require people to be star holding members.

Default Duratrax 1.9/2.2 Scale Tires

They don't look too bad, I'd be interested in trying them out.

A) What jdawg53 said.

B) What stonecold said.

C) Don't be a ****. Whether you think Duratrax is a direct competitor or not (and they most certainly are) you have no business trashing their products. I don't have their crawler tires yet, but we've run several sets of their short course tires the past four years and they perform as you would expect from the compounds (soft & super soft) and tread patterns. Quality, performance and durability are on par with Pro-Line, Pit Bull, HPI/Hot Bodies, J-Concepts, AKA and Traxxas S1 (soft) tires.

Aside from them having generic tread patterns and the large/bold, "in your face" white lettering, they're excellent tires. There's No reason to expect anything less from their crawler tires.
