Default Options to replace Micro Servo's?

Ok, so my Front diff locking Servo has given up on life. Buzzing like mad when I try and switch the locker, so I am guessing the thing is done and given up. What better options are out there to get a better functioning servo for there?

I'd call Traxxas for a warranty replacement for now and start shopping for better metal gear heavy duty micro servos.

ProModeler has some micro metal gear servos that are much stronger in torque than those Traxxas ones.

I am just hoping the new batch ( near this coming Christmas) would solved all these problems.

Good question. I do know what you mean about Traxxas' version of micro servos. I'm not sure of the dimensions on the 2065 or Promodelers micros.

I still have not gotten a TRX4 yet. I havent been up to my Lhs in a while, I gotta get up there. But I'm watching the threads and online posts about what the next failures are on the model, they seem to be few and far between overall. A properly functioning servo is must in my book though.

The one problem that I can see us all having is the Teeth count on this Servo. I have seen quite a few Sub Micro Savox Servo's but those are all 21t and as far as I can recall the Traxxas one is using Futaba tooth count. So unless someone can give me an idea on how to deal with that, I have yet to see a Sub Micro servo other than the Traxxas one using Futaba tooth count.

How much stress do these micro servos actually get put under? They are the same set the Summit has used for years. Unless there is other mechanical issues in the axles or transmission I would not imagine they would be too inferior for the situation. That steering servo on the other hand....

The problem with the traxxas micro servo's is that they are using a full set of plastic gears. It is a known issue that they have had since the Summit, a lot of people had issues with those one's too, so really nothing new, just have yet to find a sub micro servo that will work as a direct replacement, hence the reason my asking the question as I would like to avoid having to change thing's if I don't have to.

My rear one is buzzing and trembling like a stripper.I called my LHS where I
bought it to see if he has one. He told me to bring the truck and we'll call his dealer rep when I get there(they're buddies from Texas). I'll let you know what comes of this pow wow.

I've heard of people using Bluebird BMS-373MG servos to replace the micro servos in the Summit. Metal gears, 25T spline, and supposedly mount right in place of the 2065 servos.

Well both my t lock servos went out. Called traxxas they want me to send them in..... Why? There is no way they don't already know they are weak servos. A rep I emailed told me you can snap the gears just putting the servo saver on...

Can you post an example video of this? Blonde or Brunette is fine.

My LHS had one in stock. Traxxas Rep told him on the phone "Give him(me) the one you got and send me the broken one;I'll comp ya for it,they are sh*t" I have to pay the governor's surcharge buying locally, but I love this kind of service fr8ture
