Default MaxBonv Toyo Ascender Class 1

At the end of this racing season, it's time to try a new vehicle, and having had a good time, here is my first Ascender

Impressions after a first test completely stock except the body and tires, they are really good

I can begin to build anything that will serve to obtain a good Class 1.

I really like your vaterra twin Hammers, glad to see you you're in the ascender game now! I love my Ascender, yours is looking good, can't wait to see what you do with it for class 1.

Suscribed...Looking forward to your tuning improvements. I think the Ascender is quite capable out of the box. It becomes even better with some different tires and suspension tuning.

The first step to build a Class 1 is to choose the body,
looking good on my shelves, here is the right choice, my old Toyo

First step, the modify to shorten the rear bed using the technique of liquid plastic:

Here is the result :

Second step modify body is cut and make deep as in reality the rear bed .

A few sheets of styrene and the liquid plastic and ....

Rear bed finished :

With the real drop bed, the stock tower suspension and the shocks they can not be used,
there is no more necessary space.
I chose a different scheme for the rear suspension, 100% handmade

(i think in the future I will use Leaf Springs ...)

Oh ya, love the Toyota hardbody! Nice custom rear suspension too, but leaves would be cool too.

After the first test with the "heavy" body, to check the dynamic response of the vehicle,
i installed new bumpers, for which I have to thank a friend.

Front Bumpers with stinger:

New bumpers is in steel and iron material.

Rear Bumpers

Tow hitch integrated into the bumpers:

Now it's time to paint the body

Body repainted but only in the lower part, i love the vintage look...

Front body supports hidden and made of rock slidersby tube and aluminum plate welded in my home

I also made a small aesthetic detail that I always liked, a exhaust terminal .

And last, also the temporary interior, the next step will be 3D and with two riders.

Have you narrowed the axles or is it just your sweet inset beadlock wheels?

That rear suspension looks great, reminds me of my Gen 2 Toyota Pickup! People use coil springs out of Ford Explorers, put them on top of the Leaf Springs to fix a sagging spring!

How is the shock working being so far outbound? Is it smooth?

Guys, it's time to align this 3D in real-time, Sunday 11/29/2015 i participated in my first race with rules SORRCA in Class 1,
usually i compete in Extreme or Class 3. This race was a good test to understand the real dynamic qualities of Stock Ascender
equipped with hard body and scaler accessories.

The electronics I have chosen for this first race is:
Esc Mamba Max Pro
Motor Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro BL 540 Stubby 2200kv

Scaler accessoris

Race track :

Race result :

First Race for Toyo Ascender by MaxBonv, First Place

I'm really happy with this Ascender,
now beginning to seriously prepare for the 2016 season

EDIT: Congratulations on your Class 1 win!

Are you going to install a tailgate or? You know we need some body off shots now.
