Had to grind about a mm on each side but got them to fit on the rear then put the rears on the front minus a spacer. They are to long to fit on the front and after grinding them down there wouldn’t be any threads left unless you cut in some new threads

^^Do you like them?

New kit build - I decided to go with SSD Ti links for lowers. Seems the 78mm ones are unobtanium now, so I'll just put a 12mm stock spacer in there with 66's for the fronts. At least the part that hits the rocks will be Ti, and the rears one-piece. The rest of the links will be stock.

I outboarded shocks on my two rigs last night - easy-peasy. Seems to work fine. Cleaned up the spring collar on the shocks too, nice and smooth now.
I'm still not understanding what moving the bottom stop inside the tube does. [shrug] I left mine for now.

internal bumpstop? lowers the shock to give your truck a lower CG. also limits downtravel so it doesn't... "overflex"? adds to realism.

They look good and they are thicker then stock but going to try it out tomorrow on my day off. Been waiting for the ssd’s but they are on backorder. I guess these will have to do until then. I outboarded my rear shocks but t didn’t do anything but the torque twist never bothered me anyways.

you should flip your links over 180 degrees, they are upside down.

Yeah I wasn’t sure, they fit the same either way but I got more clearance this way

You need the most clearance in the center of the rig, not at the axles - the wheels roll over before the axle does.

Damn - you got a great deal!

I can't believe what a great price the BND Ford F100 has with the deal...

I ordered what I sincerely believe is the absolute last stuff for mine unless someone comes out with aftermarket links again...

Some scale goodies and a pair of what may be some of the cheapest lights I've ever seen... GMade silver aluminum round housings to mount on my upcoming WertyMade front bumper.

I've looking forward to being able to lower my ride height to match my smaller wheelset with my new TRX4 shocks and multiple shock mount location Boom Racing towers, front & rear.

Hopefully I won't need to cut my cage to get the rear to match the front, although a little "stink-bug" stance won't hurt anything, as it may help during climbing!

(for those who aren't aware - that's ass-up... )

My last two kits were $280 - how much on sale with a promo discount?

I would still like to see a 'builders-kit' less body, wheels and tires, for about $200.
Seems like I spend another three or four hundred setting up a kit.

Nice job on the pinch. I had lots of fun cutting the top off and bobbing the rear of my rtr blazer body came out very nice if I do say so myself. Bobbing the rear made a HUGE difference with rear overhang and the truck just goes where I put it. I almost did a pinch on the front but just not my style but in an appreciate others doing it. Nice work on the interior by the way. My next build is going full interior, roll cage, scale accessories the whole 9.

Well lookie here...Vaterra has updated the shock pistons for the Ascender. These are from the new kit I'm just building.
I even went to the trouble to go to an industrial supply and get #55 and #56 drill bits cuz 1/16" is too big. Guess I don't need them eh?
Oh, and they work great too - they're shipping 25wt fluid with them.

Nicely done, what is the basis of your interior?

Great to see more improvements coming from Vaterra! I've got a set of numbered drill bits and they get used a lot, great investment!
