I can take a picture tonight. I'm referring to the grub screws in the knuckle. They are what hold the kingpin in. The kingpin runs through the knuckle and c-hubs and is where it pivots.

hey do the Derwood uprights stick through the stock hood? Also, with the uprights, assuming you don't relocate the servo, is there room for a small battery?

The shocks do stick through the hood and require the diagonal spars to be cut out of the cage (should show in my pics). Without relocating the servo, there's room for a VERY small battery like a receiver pack. Perfect spot for a LED power supply pack.

I'd have tried it myself, but it won't fit behind the servo. For now, it'll be chassis mounted with Velcro.

Found that my 93mm Gmade shocks are too long, thus too much down travel. Track-side solution? Zip tie limiter straps:

limit your shocks internally, with a spacer or fuel tubing.

nothing like a quick junkyard fix and back on the track..

I like the tubing idea...hadn't thought of that one! Got plenty of it.

Had a great discount code for Amain Hobbies so I bought a set of unknown tires...
Gmade 1.9 MT 1901 Crawler Tires (2) [GMA70164] | RC Cars & Trucks - A Main Hobbies

Cost me under $40 for 4 tires, 2 outdrives, and front a-arms SHIPPED!

those look like a nice scale tyre pockets. be good to hear how they perform. Glad to see the DD kit has worked out for you, lloking to go the sme way myself including the battery relocation - that back stock position pulls too much wieght towards the back and could do with being lower in my (somewhat limited in experience) opinion. looks like a good solution for better distribution to me. Does it stop, or at least reduce, that terrible habit the TH has of rolling over backwards on steep slopes?

I like the look of those tires as well. Can't wait to see how they look mounted up to your rig.

I'm looking forward to trying them out. Pit Bulls are getting great reviews, but I couldn't pass up the deal I got.
Honestly, I've been disappointed with the DD kit. The bushings have worn out after only 2 race days.
I pulled the spare tire and mount off of the cage but left the battery where it was due to accessibility. Losing the spare really helps with the flipping over issue when crawling steep inclines. I may still do a tub-mounted battery later on this season if I find that one pack will last through 2 qualifiers and just change it out for the main.

78% still? That should be plenty for the second heat. I ran my stock 2000 pack for the first heat but discharged it and recharged for the main and used my Nano 4200 for the second heat. I'll have to try using the Nano for the first two heats and see if it lasts. I'm geared fairly low.

What motor are you running in it?

Did you have to move your receiver to get the servo horn to turn past it?

You are in Rancho? I'm in Upland

Hobby King 2150kv 13.5T

I have the servo relocation kit so it's on top of the front plate. My Rx and ESC are mounted on the pan where the stock servo was.

I'm just off Arrow in RC. Where abouts in Upland? I work in Claremont.

Just at Glen Helen mostly (20min drive), but I need to check out that wash that z50King is talking about. It's only 10min from home.
