Default Pockets70 Twin Hammers

Finally transferred my phone pics to the computer. Here are a few shots. Basically stock. Just installed the rear swaybar and need to install the front locker. Cut out the front lights and popped in a pair of 10mm LEDs in buckets and popped in a pair of 5mm LEDs in the roof panel. A bit ghetto, but cheap for now and does the job fairly well. Just got GMade 103 piggybacks for the rear that need building. Tip my hat to HillbillyCrawler for a full set of Trepadors he sent me!

What brand (if any) are the 10mm lights? I like the looks of them and want to do all 4 of the roof lights and would like to pick up some.

(if any) is dead-on perfect. These are the holders http://www.ebay.com/itm/20x-10mm-LED...item5199162dae
Any 10mm LED will fit them. I'd suggest making the hole a bit tight so they "snap" into the body. Also, a dab of shoo goo or hot glue on the base of the LED to the housing is a good idea.

Next up is making body panels (ironic that I have the templates and haven't made any yet) and waiting for a DD steering setup. This little beast is a blast!

Perfect. Out of curiosity, is that body supposed to sit that high off the frame?

Played a bit on the mill at work for my Losi SCT's battery brace. I may tackle flat parts for the TH now. Doing it by hand (no CNC...yet). Any ideas for flat parts?

Yes the body is lol. my son likes monster trucks. The redcat rs10xt even has rear steer. That's some nice lathe work.

rear steer would be a plus for a comp crawler. Mill; lathe spins parts. ALSO fun to play with though! Haven't had a chance to toy with ours. I'd like to mill out a set of front arms out of 1/4" plate stock, but they're not totally flat.

Forhead slap while saying dough! I actually knew the difference but my cold meds make me groggy. I even missed the auto correct for redcat lol. I hate being sick. Also rear steering isn't comp legal. Just digs. But doesn't make it any less fun.

Ok, got the locker installed and now my turning radius sucks bad. Will the DD setup get me some steering back??

no. have the front diff locked reduces the turning radius. the DD setup will help with slop in the steering but can't buy you back turning radius. i was dealing with that to which is why i'm giving the diff filled with 500k oil a try. hopefully it is a good balance of crawling capability plus some steering improvement.

I ALMOST went that route and I may later. Live and learn I guess. Just have to be more careful picking a line.

Just recieved the same kit yesterday. The servo mound does not work like I planned and has me back to the drawing board.

Bummer Toyota. I saw your post. Why won't it work with the DD relocation? I want to do the chassis mounted battery mod too. Really cleans things up and probably helps the handling too.

The steering linkage was still to much in the way for the batteries I run to get lower. I did end up mounting my batteries above the servo like the one with all stock electronics and it is working just fine. I do really like the derwood upright shocks though. It seemed to make front supension travel much smoother.

That's what I was HOPING to hear about the shocks! The stock front end is unique, but the shocks just don't do the job.

I really like the shock up rights. They are different then BMRC and gcm uprights yet still look scale and function better than the stock set up. The steering relocation worked awesome too. I just did not use it because of my set up.
