Love the VW body on the Hammers. I'm torn about which of my trucks to spend my $ on. I have both a Yeti and a TH. Seeing builds like yours makes it even tougher to choose.

Did somemore work on the Bug project......

figured out a way to mount the body using rare earth magnets and magnet cups

Cups mounted to the cage

Magnets mounted to insde of the body

Also did some work brazing making a new front skidplate

Started shooting the body color... Tamiya Light Gunmetal

Working on the interior as well....

Also got the glass installed, a little more work on the interior and worked a little on the headlight buckets.

Thanks!!

Yeah Im gonna use it too...... planning to hit up the G6 that RPP is sponsoring in Oct. Its gonna be tough that first time out when it goes flipping down a 15ft embankment but it would be a shame to just have it sit on the shelf. Thats what pictures are for......HaHa

P.S thoses orig cryo/polished axels are still going strong!!!

Good to here, I am also still running my original cryo test axle set. Going on 2 years only had to replace 1 cross pin.

What are you using for your front upright shock mount? I haven't seen one like it. Is it from a vendor, or home made?

It was made by forum member Derwood. I am not sure he makes them anymore.

Made it out to the RPP Hobby RC Jamboree and G6. It was a good time! Fridays events were held at RPP where they have a killer little scale course and a bunch of vendors set up.. Saturdays G6 was held at Lake Mendocino.

Course consisted of 80+ gates and we ran two laps for a total of 160+ gates. Second time around thru the water it was pretty rutted out and I flooded my pan chassis and fried my MMP.... even know I had dipped it in CorrosionX. Oh well :( Ordered up a new Holmes Hobbies BLE that is waterproofed and got it installed. Here are some photos.....

Prolines Start Finish stage

Parkers Instagram Shot of my Bug

RPP's Cool little scale course... with a Kwik-E-Mart no less

Cool scale travel trailer....

Aftermath......
