Here is a picture of a recently built winch controller with a JST connector on it so you can plug it directly into some of the scale winch's. This is handy when you don't want to do any soldering. The installation of a JST connector adds $2 to the price of the winch. |

I installed this winch at the start of the season in my unimog after having issues with the RC4WD bullydog controller (have yet to see the bullydog hold center for long on any of my buddies rigs as well). I paired it with a 3 position switch so it actually controls a servo winch and the bullydog and this controller works like a charm. I have used it with Spektrum and flysky radios with Zero issues. Im building a parts list for a new build and this controller is definitely on that list. |

Hey great product i am running 2s in my scx10 do i need the high voltage for 7.4 volts, i would really like to stay low in the price range. i have the rc4wd winch which creeps at neutral on my modded traxxas tqi. i would like to have the jst plug also. definitly love what you do with the rc community! What would be the price on the regular with jst plug and if needed the price of the high voltage with jst plug. thank you! Henry ps. are these waterproof, perfectly fine if not. |

Unless you are doing something funky with an external BEC, you can use the winch controller described in this thread that runs on 6 volts as your receiver voltage - and therefore the voltage going to the winch controller - will be 6 volts. It is $25. Adding a JST plug adds $2 to that price. Yes, it is waterproof. Send me a PM and I will get you fixed up! Last edited by heyok; 01-03-2013 at 05:19 PM. What you said is kind of a loaded question. The general opinion of guys that have been crawling for a while is that Yes, you need an external BEC! Please read the thread. Yes, the winch controller will work with the system you have now with out a BEC. | |

| Re: No Drift Winch Controller! (using 3 position transmitter channel) Most likely. I Have to say it like that because when I google a rc4wd winch, one of the pictures that comes back shows three wires going to the motor which indicates that it is brushelss. My winch controller only works with brushed motors. Brushed motors have two wires going to them and are very common on a winch while brushless motors on a winch are very uncommon.
