I read AK's thread last nite and yours tonite. Un-f'in-real man! Never seen such a scale build. I don't know if you figured out your radius arm issues yet but what about making actual C cups and bushing on the ends of the arms just like the real thing. With all the stuff you've fabbed, that might be an easy thing. I was envisioning some larger brake line capturing the front axle, brazed to the radius arm. Then split it, braze some tabs on the halves and bolt it together around the axle. Then maybe use some fairly soft fuel line or something pliable as your "c" bushing between the c cup and axle housing. Just a thought. I had a bad case of death wobble on my 1:1 and played with those damn cups ALOT.

I don't know if what I suggest is even possible. Just tossing it out there. I don't have the 1:1 anymore as money is non existant around here lately but I am carhauler on CB. Only way I'll get another EB is if it's an RC! So I'm looking at all the cool EB builds to build my courage to take a shot at this!

I would LOVE to do something like you say, I just don't think it is possible at this scale. (At least not with my skills)

So how much flex did you end up with using the radius arms? Im starting a proline 73 bronco scratch build. I was thinking about making them as well, but mine is running 1.9s and i do want it to be capable as i will be running it quite a bit. I am at least going with rear leafs. I may end up just doing a 3 link/panhard up front.

scale flex its spot on, however if you want to run the truck I would say go 3 link/ tracbar.

My roll bar got tweaked and the brazed joints didn't hold, so now I have to re-do that. I was going to get a pic of the scale truck next to the 1:1 and finally post it here.

small update? I brought it to the Recon G6 event; Axial's Coven Quest- down in Belleview, and Parker picked my stupid scale Bronco as the best scale truck there! I was pretty stoked!

What's harder to work on, the 1:1 or the 1:10?

I am contemplating selling this scaler. Exterior body, tire rack, full styrene interior, rollbar, in-dash servo for steering wheel, etc...... extensive build thread (over a year long lol) no trans, and possibly, maybe no transfer case. There are more custom one offs in this build than I can even remember!

How the hell do I determine a value for such a truck? I have had several people ask to buy it over the last year or 2, for a shelf queen..... the ultimate scale model.

thoughts?

Don't do it. You will regret it for sure. Way to much time invested.
