New guy bumping an old thread.

I've been thinking about moving over to scalers, surfing the site and reading all the build threads I can find. I just read every post in this thread straight through and I gotta say it takes the pressure off. I was worried that I'd need to "keep up with the Joneses" with my builds, and that seemed intimidating. After reading this thread I know that keeping up will be impossible, so It'll be easier to just be satisfied with whatever I come up with.

Way to set the bar so high it became unobtainable. Great work.

Hey Guys - no real "update" so to speak - however, I took Clampy out to the BIG fall scaler GTG up at Skinner Mt. in western Mass this past weekend. It was a blast and I got to wheel Clampy with some other outstanding rigs, and some Awesome people..! Here are a few pics - Enjoy !

Got to wheel' with "Robbob's" Fun Buggy ( which is absolutely INSANE..!)

Ouch - There goes a little more paint..!!

Then we took the big group photo. A great day of wheelin' was had by all..!

Damn, that 1st pic looks like a real one of the 1:1. This truck is still one of my alltime favourite builds on here and it's great to see it actually being used.

Hey Chris, thanks for the latest pics of Clampy. You know we can't get enough of them, lol. Reeeeeeeally cool too as I just sat down in front of the computer and as always hit RCC first (and as usual, to remain on till I go bugged eyed, lol). The first thing that popped into my view was the word "Clampy" as I scrolled down. I clicked and as the screen began to load I looked down at the magazine next to me that I had just sat down with to flip though whenever something was loading (nope not porn, at the moment anyway, lol, almost as good, 4x4 mag). On the cover (which is why I grabbed it first off the stand, lol), of 4X4 Garage, Toyota Edition, midway down the page, "Old Clampy Truck Rehash. Seems Clampy 1:1 is getting some much needed love, and upgrades .

Default great truck

I love the custom grill, gives it a lot of realism compared to most hilux builds. I'd like to try my luck making one but you made it seem nerve wracking haha. Great truck.

Ol Clampy's still lookin good Chris !

I bet he was happy to have some new "friends" to run with.

Still one of my favorite Yota's....for sure

Also...I'm pretty sure Clampy won't be sellin anytime soon.

I believe it's been said that Clampy has been left in a "will"...to someone....so he'll probably be stayin' with Chris for a loooonnng time !!

Chris, AWESOME build man. Really though, awesome is an understatement... I know though, youve heard it a MILLION times.

But I was actually posting cause I live in MA too (I actually messaged you a while back about maybe getting together and having a trail ride or something)
But anyways, I saw that when your truck was in readers rides, it said you were from Leominster, MA, is this true? Asking because I live in Athol, about 30 minutes away from Leominster.

It would be an honor for my 4 door lux to be seen in a couple pictures of your Clampy Hopefully we can hit a couple trails together with the 10th scales, and maybe a couple in my old trail hog:
I call her, Ole' Girtrude

Just a little 65 chevy with a 350, but she'll get a little sideways if you want her too.
