The doors came out great! You're in the home stretch!

I expect to see a detailed t-case and dummy motor/trans to match all that bodywork sir.

That is a ton of flex on a link spring machine. The narrowed axles look so good in action.

I can't wait to see the real body on it though. I really hope the finished product has no visible antenna

I expect to see a Keebler Elf out bashing it on the trails without you controlling it sir.

Better give him winshield wipers in case if it rains.

Well these are the same springs i had on my 1st metal body truck: Project True scale test rig

I beat on that thing for over a year and all i did, every so often, was pull them off, re-arch them, and slap them back on.

Me too. I want to put turned down TLT shocks on but they are too long for the rear. I'll probably just put the originals on the rear and the TLT's up front for now.

I wish i was in the home stretch! I still need to finish molds for the firewall, inner fenders, hood support, top of the radiator support, inner A pillars, B pillars, inside of the roof, support for the back of the cab and the inside of the tailgate... At least i think that's it and that's just for the main body structure, I still have grill, head and tail lights, side markers and glass to make.

Plus i want to do a full interior and yes a fully detailed engine compartment including a complete dummy motor and trans. Oh this ody is just the half of it!

Thanks! i'm really happy with them... for now As for the antenna, well if i can find a 3 channel PCM controller that i can afford i'll use that, otherwise my plan is to make it look like a big whip antenna.

Just out of curiosioty I know its a ways off but what do you plan on coating the chassis in or do you plan on leaving it raw? I know you are after realism but the only frames I have seen are black and or rusty. Also I'm pretty certain you plan on having a break booster even if it is for looks but what is your plans for rotors and or drums??

I wish! if i had too much time this would have been done a year ago! I really don't get that much time on it with raising a family, work, helping my parent's put an edition on ETC.

The chassis will just get painted black as will the rest of the suspension and axles. The tranny will be silver. If i get a motor in it that will probably be blue. When it's done i want it to looks like a truck that is basically stock but has been cleaned up.

For now it won't have the brake components but hopefully, if all goes well in the near future, i will have hand made axles with ALL the brake components.

A small update but still a significant one. After almost 3 weeks of fiddling the firewall is finally done. It came out pretty well actually.

Of course i made a test panel. It's not very clean but it was quick just to see if everything worked.

Looks pretty close to the real thing huh?

This is going to be one of the hardest parts to form. the deep recesses of the tranny hump and the fender wells want to tear the metal. I'll need more practice to get it right.

Finally here is a quick test fit on the body.

Amazing how much different it looks huh? I have a few more parts to make before i assemble the cab but it's getting closer

Sounds good. Just so you know I was reffering to "dummy" parts for looks and not actual working break system. Still amaizing work plain and simple.

I am absolutely shocked about this project you definitely don't have ADD. I have never seen the attention to detail like u, and it's a good thing the body would fold without the indentions in the floor pan, firewall, rear cab, and the inner door panels. You have to finish this project ASAP, Ive got to see what rocks do to it..... Yea i would shed a tear for all the labor u put into it, but the effects of the damage from the rocks cannot be replicated. So u will have the most realistic rig on the trail by far. As far as to much travel with your current chassis, I would fit the shocks somehow i love the way it moves currently and its nothing All Pro hasn't done with a Yota. Thats me and your going for scale but....
