That's a great idea, E! I just spent a good bit of time last night reworking a BEC to supply power to my winch. I figured 4s wouldn't be good for it so I stepped it down to something more reasonable. Can't wait to check out the rig next weekend.... |

Never thought of that! Great idea Eric. I had one of mine just plugged into a separate 2cell, worked good, but you had two lipos to deal with. Think I'm going to do some fixin tonight. Hell I've got a couple extra BEC's, maybe I'll wire one up just for the winch, overkill really.

i just modded a "junk" controller to see if i can solder the tiny wires. after the mod i hooked it up and sure enough the controller started working again. Last edited by BOWTIE; 12-03-2010 at 09:49 AM.

I wired mine like that too. It's a tad slower running on 6v, but love that it powers itself.

Little more progress today. Went to home depot and bought.. I was able to get 4 wraps on. I also added BOWTIE's warn decal sheet. I reinforced the back of the honcho cab. Shoe goo works great on lexan. I used gladware bowl, marked and cut in half, trimed to fit. Just need to get paint. |

| Thanks Sal. Are you going to make it to scale comp ? Honestly I have no idea. I just started wrapping the drum till I couldn't fit anymore on. Thanks. Same here. But once I saw DH-fab flatbed for sale. I knew I had to have one! |

The shocks fit that rig like a glove. You got a lot of spare winch line haha.

I think lexan paint will work better since will etch in the plastic. The back of the cab of the honcho is kinda flimsy, it like 0.10-0.20''.
