I'm headed downstairs to work on the bottom half of the dash in a few minutes. I want to get the steering column figured out as well. Hoping to get it all built into one nice package deal.

The glue is drying now. After it's firmed up I'll work on smoothing the finish. I'm going to try some higher resolution prints, but right now I'm really liking the faster print times. |

Haven't updated this thread lately but I have been doing a little work to the truck. It is actually already sold, but I'm doing a few things to it before it leaves the shop. One of them is a new front end. The front shell and grill insert will all be 3D printed is the plan. I've done several test prints, making small adjustments here and there, and I'm about ready to print the 4th version. Also, as shown in the pic, I will be adding a 3Racing winch to the front. I wanted it mostly for looks but it will be functional still. This was an early test print of an earlier design as well, I was printing them at the lowest resolution to save time. The final resolution will be 3 times finer than shown here. Lastly, to protect the winch and grill I'll be adding a little "stinger" like the one added to the fullsize version in the latest update. |

This truck uses 1/8" solid material, but I also use 3/16 at times. | |

I worked on the start of the front bumper, still have to finish weld and clean it up. The grill is still a work in process, hopefully I can finish it up SOON. |

Decided to go a different route on the grill. Started on a steel version last night. The plan was to incorporate a set of Vanquish Q series lights for the new headlights. Should really light up the place! I bent a piece of 3/16" rod around the top half of the grill to give it some dimension when finished. Then I backed that with a piece of 18 gauge which will hold the lights and grill insert. Quick video of welding the rod and sheet metal together with the Razorweld 160P. Pulse is set to 2.0 hurtz at a 50% duration, low side at 10 amps and high side at 30 amps. Video is shot at 4x speed. Post by Harley Designs. |

After that, I tacked on a piece of 22 or 24 gauge sheet metal around the outside to tie back into the fenders and hood. Trying to be as careful as possible I welded the sheet around the rod. Being an amateur welder at best this was not the easiest thing for me. Then I cleaned up everything to start to blend it all together. I also trimmed the outside sheet to length. |

I barely started to work on mounting the new Q-series lights before calling it a night. But I think they are going to fit nicely. The size actually looks pretty decent! |
