I use Murphy's Oil Soap as my mold release agent. Works really well with plaster and Bondo.

Good stuff here, your threads (that actually contain pictures) are very informative and show a lot of the fun part that makes this hobby so great.

BTW, what hardware are you using to hold the panels on?
Mcmaster-Carr has 2mm button head and countersunk hardware if you didn't know.

Thanks Dean, the hardware right now is some caphead 2mm stuff that I had around. I want to switch it all to the stuff from Locked Up. I just need to actually get around to ordering it Although some normal button head stuff would look good and may be more realistic for body panels since you aren't going to see a ton of hex head hardware holding body panels on in that fashion. Hadn't really put a ton of thought into that until you mentioned it.

Harley , did you stop selling hardware kits ? I actually thought it was funny when Chino63 asked thinking you'd have tons of hardware. By the way I also enjoy your informative how to videos, I love learning new things.

I still sell it but supply is the only issue.

However it's just regular 3mm stainless hardware. I really like the small scale hardware that's available now.

This week was crazy, I put in some crazy hours at the office and am just getting back in the swing of things.

Today I did swap out the orange rings for some simple black rings. I will be swapping on some new Method wheels soon, but I have to wait awhile before those can be thrown on.

I also have a new set of VVD's that I need to install.

I made a bunch of progress tonight! I hope to be done by Wednesday so I can take it out hiking over the holiday break.

I finished the rear tin work.

The center section bolts to the frame rails with two bolts and then the side panels slip under the fenders and rivet to the center section.

Next I worked on the dash. I made a dash cap first.

Then I made the drivers panel

I'm almost done. Just have to make a rear battery tray and a lid for the battery compartment. Then wire the whole thing up!

I'm picking up a new driver, he's just a little too big. Going to go with a more standard 1:10 scale figure.

Can you tell me the height between the top of the lower seat cushion and the bottom of the roof panel ? I am trying to decide if he will fit in a build I have going on.

Sick metal work in the rear.....
Esp like how you made the taps. Use some heat shrink to cut down on the metal chatter.

Some of the last planned metal work was finished up tonight.

I needed a rear battery tray first, and I wanted it to hide the battery from view through the fenders.

Bent, trimmed, cut in half for installation, and then drilled for rivets.

Harley, you probably already have the thought but the rivets inside the tray, can you button them from the top that way battery don't rub on the rub on the button part

I'm using some foam for that. I couldn't get the rivet gun in there from the other direction.
