I always lived your scout build, can't wait to see this one come along. Is it too early to start to beg for paint...want to see color.

Paint will be coming ASAP.
Time's a little tighter now that I'm a full time parent and,I don't live 4 minutes from the shop anymore.

Made a little time to get the new lower links machined today.Decided since the rod ends have a hex shaped shoulder to chamfer the ends to match. Also got them mounted.I think they came out pretty good.
Now it's on to the next project for this.

Slowly plugging away at this thing.Ordered a 3Racing winch so I can see if I like it better than the RC4WD winch, sizewise.Once I determine which one I'll use I can finish figuring out the bumpers and brackets.
I also had MThead cut me some different rings. They're a little smaller so,it will show off a little more of the wheel.Ordered them in white so I can dye them to match (as close as I can) the paint.Hopefully paint will be coming this weekend.

Got my 3racing winch today.I think it looks a little more in scale.I do have some of Warn sticker sheet so,making the 3r one look better isn't a problem.Let me know what you guys think.
Also, here's a sneak peek at the paint.as usual for me,it isn't perfect but,it'll just get beat up anyways.
I'll post other pics of it once I get the stickers on.

I like the color combo Pat I don't think the rc4wd winch looks to big, the lexan bodies are a lot of times bigger then 1/10 scale. I still have to find a rig to put my new rc4wd winch on, I can tell you one thing, the wireless system is badass!

I still need to get a remote if I use the RC4WD one.Ordered just the winch at the time due to money and, wanting it to figure out a front bumper.

Got a few stickers on.Here's a few crappy, indoor lighting pics.
Side shot, rear shot with the mandatory rear window sticker and, front with the "just because" windshield banner.
I'll get some better pics IF we ever get a decent day for them.

Looks kick ass Pat, I'm digging the color.

Looks like the body could be lowered about 1/4" - 3/8" on the chassis or are you still working on final ride height?

I dropped the rear post 1 hole but,if I want to run sliders, that's about as far as I can go unless I design some sheet metal ones like R2J makes. If I do that that,I may be able to go down 1 or 2 more.I'll play around with it in a little while.I do need to get the height set so I can figure out bumper brackets.

Mine's sitting at about 12-7/8" right now. That's with no extra weight (battery,electronics,etc.).

A couple of outdoor shots.I really like this color.
The paper you see is the printout of the bumper brackets.Got the files to my waterjet guy.Now it's just a waiting game to see when I get them.
Once I get that stuff,I can get the bumpers made.
I'll be getting the electronics when I get my Federal taxes back and then,I can actually drive it.
More to come when I actually have something to show.
