Left for work and got a text from the post office 10 minutes after I left.

Package is sitting safe and sound in the rain.

At least it will have the corroded rust look. Or smell like wet dog.

This cold is really kicking my ass but I found the energy to do a quick mockup.

Buggy will be a 1.9 rig and wheelbase will be shortened roughly .25"

Other than gaining up travel in the front this will be a cake walk.

Wish I had a scale handy because this chassis weighs alot less than it looks. Extremely happy with the build quality and materials used. If you decide to get a tuner you will feel like your money is well spent.

Fork neck curbing pit bulls. No regrets.

Thinking about cutting the lower part of the frame off to make room for a servo.

Looks great Chad. Thought you were making this a 2.2? You gonna go big tires on the deadbolt or have the 2 1.9's?

1:1 buggy is 110" wb with 43" stickies with a 17" wheel. This chassis is a little smaller than expected so I'll try to keep this as close to scale as possible.

I'll probably sell the deadbolt to fund the project. This chassis deserves the money and attention.

110" wheelbase
73" tall
61" wide

Where do you buy this powder coat? They want 50 bucks to powder coat a cage I made for my G6. If I can buy it, that would be better. On another note. That is one sweet ride! What color is that on your 1:1?

Got the rear axle close to where I want it. It could go back 1 or 2mm but I'm leaving it for now.

Stampers mounted up super easy.

Only problem right now is steering. Thinking about loosing the bta setup and running a slightly more traditional style or a cms with 4 link. Not sure if that's possible but something has gotta happen soon. I'd really like to make it to our last comp.

Icon shocks are looking good. Glad I read the o ring mod thread before adding any fluids. Still gotta figure out a shock cap mod. Shaft is a good length but the short shock body allows too much up travel.

Cut a small piece of nitro fuel line to put above the spring retainer around the shock shaft. Not a lot, but enough so the fuel tubing hits the shock body first.

Buggy looks wicked, nice stance on her.

That came to mind but I'm trying to have usable down travel. Might have to pick up some eggressor shock caps. They're ugly as hell but they will do what want.

Looks good Chad, would love to be competing against this at the last comp of the season!

That's the plan. I'll be taking it to work so I shouldn't have any excuse other than not getting the day off.
