My hex to hex is 7-3/4 while the stock width rear is 7-3/8.

Thank you sir, I think you've got a killer rig there, the only thing I noticed is you might try some thicker oil and stiffer springs to slow down the suspension cycle.

Shocks were the last thing I did to it before the comp. I'must running 1000wt. Diff fluid. I have some 3000wt. I can try out, and go from there.
I was worried any stiffer on the springs would raise my ride height and center of gravity to much. I may try a stiffer lower spring along with the thicker oil and see how he does.

Thanks for the tip. Greatly appreciated. I know I won't stop until I have squeezed every last drop of performance I can out of it. I can't help myself.

I don't know what shocks you run, but sounds like your going to the extreme on oil to slow it down. Maybe you need a larger volume cylinder, like an aluminum big bore. My rig weight is about 9 pounds and I run like 60wt with the orange miniT springs with the big bores.

I also found another bent tube. I actually notice it when I was looking at the pictures.

I really wasn't expecting it to bend that easy. I may need to try some different material on the next one.

So here's some home work for ya. I know CODYBOY uses stainless tube. How does it compare in strength? What else is out there that's stronger than brake line? How is the DOM tubing? Is it worth the extra cost? Oh yeah, and what about chromoly? Or do they all bend when you slam em on the rocks?

They are the rc4wd RRD shocks in the 110mm and 100mm flavor. I will be honest in saying that I only got them because of there lengths and looks. Not there performance.

I think i read that you only run traxxas big bores. I know they are great shocks. They just don't look the part. It would be hard for me to change the look.

I use solid 3/16 and DOM in 3/16. Both seem to hold up well, the places that take most of the abuse like sliders and the headache bar I used solid. You can probably get your own shocks to work, I know the big bores are ugly........lol

That sounds about perfect. I will definitely look into it.

sounds like I may be giving DOM a try. I already have 3/16 solid. Thank you.
And there not ugly, there just not pretty.

Here's what my workbench looked like after 3 months of working on U.N.C.L.E., and rc4wd ecsc 2016.

Ahhhhhhh, Finally got to here today.

Now for the rest of the shop, and fab table. Then I can start sorting out this rolling over on side hills thing.

I was able to mock this up from parts I found during clean up. Those are bomber knuckles, and ar60 long side universals, and 8° chubs.
I just have 3mm spacers taking up the slack the rcbros bushings fix.

I also added bleeders to the shocks. Just drilled and tapped the cap with m2, and sealed the threads with some blue rtv.

That with some 3000cst diff fluid. Definite Improvement in dampening. Maybe too much. I'll try it and see. Might try some 2000cst.
With the shocks being such low volume, the only way I can think to slow them down is thicker oil.

Whoooooooooooooo Poprivet that bench is way to clean, how in the world can you find anything. My whole shop should look that good. And it only took you 2 1/2 hours.

Don't worry. It won't look that way for long.

How about coming over and helping clean mine????
So it may come down to you deciding if you want looks or performance. I also like the traxxas big bore shocks, for the money you can't get a more tunable shock. Having said that I have not used the shocks you have now, (haven't read many good comments about them) do you have different pistons for them? It seems crazy that you have to use that thick of oil in them. Do you think your shocks are your side hilling problem?

Only if I get to keep everything i find that you forgot you had.

I have actually been running 1000cst in my pro-line scalers for about a year now in my daily driver. The scx10 I run most often.
It works very well at smoothing out the transfer of sprung weight. When tgreer mentioned slowing them down some he kind of read my mind. Uncle has at least a pound and a half more sprung weight shifting side to side on transitions.

Do i think the shocks are to blame for rollovers... not completely, but it isnt helping.
I think a wider stance (xr mod up front and wider hubs in the rear), and more weight on the axles will make the most difference in the rollover category.
I usually run wheel weight. It helps alot for me. I imagine it the same as a 40"+ tall tire in full scale weighing in at a couple hundred pounds. I think I'll add some and see. If that isn't enough, ill probably bug you for some of that beautiful brass work you've been doing.

Your still running stock wraith skid plate correct?

Suspension setup will also play big part in it

If you don't already I look into pick this up.
