So then I got building. Didn't take pics of the rear links, they are shorter 55mm (upper) and 64mm (lower) And then altogether. Looks like a roller now (or will, once I put the motor back in) tires are borrowed from my SCX10 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |

Looks to be about 45 degrees until it touches the chassis in the front. Not bad. Fatter hexes should help with this.

So started on the shocks today. The big bore bodies are pretty nice. They get you a notch in the adjustor so you can keep track of how many turns (just like they do on the touring chassis shocks) 3Racing gives you 3 sets of pistons, 1.4/1.3/1.2, and they're tapered, which is also pretty nice. The 1.4 ones get installed stock. Building them is easy, just like any other aluminum bodied shocks, except this one added the top spacer/guide, which was new to me either way just trim off any flash and (I use) green slime to keep leaking to a minimum. I was never a fan of using the green slime, but after using it on leaky 12th scale shocks (and the metal body axial's), I use it all the time They include #350 weight oil, which I'll get around to adding later On to the pics..... Those shocks look nice! Probably a dumb question, but where do you order spares for this kit? |

Shocks finished. Nothing special, so no assembly pics The bleed holes are nice, but I didn't get as much oil bleeding through as I expected, or I guess should've leaked out. Oh well, they are buttery smooth so I'm not complaining Also, I'm glad I didn't have to rebuild a shock, I might not have had enough oil Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |

Mounting went well, aside from the screws in the lower supports, being an absolute b!tch to screw in They give you 2 holes, and inner and outer hole. The manuals say mount on all the inner holes, so we'll see how it works Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |

And of course, some flex shots. Will probably flex better after all the remaining weight is in place, like maybe a 3rd rally under a tire Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |

So the remaining steps were way too simple. Steering went in without a single hitch. I swapped the stock plastic servo horn for the harden axial one for my airtronics servo. Shifting servo was simple, once my radio cooperated (damn flysky) - now I just need to adjust the endpoint, but the damn radio wasn't cooperating. Oh well Battery tray was simple, even with my 3s 5400mah pack. Fit in the standard build directions. Radio box needs some thought and planning. I can run the esc and receiver in there, but based on how it's built, I need super long battery leads - so that might cause me to do a little tray behind the battery to mount the esc (it's waterproof) and stick the receicer and something else inside the receicer box So at this point, I just need to out the motor back on and then I can take it outside for a test drive - maybe, Monday Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |
