| Starting a truggy...
So I'm about to start building a truggy, I have almost all my parts except for the electronic combo... Don't know what to put in there to have torque and a lot of wheelspin, something smooth at low speed and fast enough without destroying the truck... I was thinking about the HH brxl wp/13t sportmaster... What u think??? I will use 2s and 3s lipos... Here's what I've got so far: Scx10 chassis and axles Proline ford f250 cab (will paint white w/blue racing stripes) All metal HR trans 32p All vp Ti links Vp cms/panhard kit Vp stage 1 blue (chub, knuckle, lockout) SMF RC Works truggy kit (#AP070) Junfac steel driveshaft Axial cvd steering kit BPC LNKT-1650 3 Link / 4 Link Kit RC4WD Tough Armor Competition Stinger Bumper RC4WD Tough Armor Side Steel Sliders STRC ALUM. REAR SHOCK TOWER (GM) STRC ALUM. FRONT SHOCK TOWER (GM) RR ??t 32p pinion Proline beadlocks w/1.9 rok lok tires Scale items... Turnigy high torque servo (400+oz) Cc bec COMBO??? So what u think...? If your wanting some crazy power brushed for a reasonable price check out the brood stump jumper 550! I'm running one on my clod truggy on 3s and brxl. Crazy power and almost stupid speed! I think it's 9/87 gearing and I'm needing to go down a little more for 3s. I'll put it to you this way, the axial cvds have no chance! Best bet all around would be the short xr mod for steering angle and durability! Just my 2 cents |

Thx for the info... I don't want crazy power tho, just some good power that's it... That's why I was thinking about the brxl/13t combo from HH... Should be quite ok with 3s lipo...?!? For the axial cvd, what my others easy options? Rc4wd, vp,? Are they better? |

Welll personal experience the axials are junk, haven't done the gunner pin mod but stock I broke 5 pins in less than 100 ft at our last g6. I had an older 13t I ran on 3s and had some heat issues I couldn't resolve but it was on a 2.2 rig that had some weight to it. Can't go wrong w the brxl though. I'm running the brood due to its price and my rig is weighing in around 9 to 10 lbs running weight. It's only 34.99 but says out of stock at the moment. |

It's all I had at the time. They worked great until the first one broke and I think when it did I caused some edges to get rough and actually ended up partially cutting the pin. As for the vp ones I have not used nor the rc4wd. Light normal use on a light rig the axials would work fine. Supposedly the vp are great. |

Thx for the help... Will probably go with my first idea and order a HH brxl w/13t or a 21t... Love those combo... For the axial cvd, I have those in stock so will give it a try and see what happen... If it break, vp will be my next... Another question: did someone have the link for the xr steering mod? Is it difficult to do? I already ordered the scx10 stage 1 from vp, will it fit the mod? |

Haven't done the short but fairly simple. Short beef tubes, wraith chubs and knuckles and bearings xr shafts. Have to cut the shafts down some and grind a flat for the locker. I belive harley is the one who did the thread on it. |
