I want to lock it for tight turns like yours and make it front wheel drive only to go up steep climbs. maybe this is a stupid question.
like a 3 position switch 1st position locked 4wd, 2nd position front wheel drive, 3rd front wheel drive and locked rear axel?

Thanks for figuring out this idea and letting us use it.
YES. that is how mine is set up, I have my male shafts with about 1/4" space between and I am able to get relyable rear free wheel out of it. will post vid as soon as I can figure out how...for now, here are pics.

first three show the three positions, awd, fwd, rear lock.
second three show distance between male shafts at normal and full flex both ways.

cool! that is what i was going to try, i am glad you got it to work. I have an M8 radio so i can make slight adjustments to the servo infinite position so i was thinking i could just make slight adjustments but if yours works good like that then i am set. great pics by the way that really helps.

I used a piece of all thread to screw into one half, then ground the threads off the other half so it will spin free.

No. You have 1 channel for throttle, and one for steering. You need 3 channels.

I use the DX3.0 but it only has a 2 position 3rd channel. I need a DX3. :-(

I'm just waiting on the shafts to come in before I get mine on the truck. Could someone show me the servo plate and how it's on there (without a servo mounted), Will the stock one work? I know the servo will be at an angle, that's why I'm asking.

Thanks

Hmmmm.. still cracking my head about this DIG.

ALthough I can buy one from TCS or RC4WD, I would like to know what is the purpose? and how does it works? Any advantage?

From what I can see, when locked, the rear wheel is disengaged from the tranny. Only the front wheel can turn. But, at locked, the rear wheel cant rotate since it is locked. But hiiting the throttle, from wheel spin and dig the ground???

umm, what?

digs allow the vehicle to lockout the rear wheels witch will cut your turning radius substantially.

Here ya go.

I had to drill my own hole to get the servo at the proper angle, but there is no reason why the stocker wont work. you'll only be using two holes, instead of three. also, attach your servo mounts BEFORE you put the plate on the axle.
