They are the same material as the stockers, which means really strong in my book, I've yet to break one.......and I have tried

Brad, well I made a skid plate for my SWX and I got It built, and I'm going to a comp today for the first run with the new Bender Customs chassis. I can tell you this, I love it already. Also thanks for the help on the links, I ended up using 70mm lower links, 55mm upper links with a 5mm spacer and TCS 4 link plates, came out perfect. My wheel base is at 12 3/8 and 2 3/4 belly clearance.

Thanks Darren

When are you going to have the SWX chassis for sale? Any idea?

Glad the link lengths worked out for your SW3.

Glad to hear the new skid is working good for you Norm.

I finally got a new body painted up for this build too. Just need to finish detailing it, and I'll post a few pics.

I would like to thank Bender for this build. His ability to post clear instructions, great pictures, and answer damn near everything thrown at him helped me a lot with my own AX10 build. If it weren't for this thread, my crawler would probably just be a stocker right now. Five stars for you, Bender!

Awesome, glad to hear it's working good for you.

Here's a few pics of the new body. I still have some more detail work to do, but it's getting there.

Classic. Personally, I'm not a fan of fancy paint jobs. This is simple and clean, nicely done!

Question: This new body looks less chopped around the wheel wells than your other one. Have you limited your articulation a bit, or just leaving on more lexan?

Thanks.

I haven't fully trimmed this body yet. It will probably end up being cut close to my previous Grappler though.
