UPDATE:
Well, I pulled it all apart and dremel-polished all the parts and have
a 90% improvement in disengagement...it only sticks in extreme situations
(like when one or both rear tires are stuck) At last week's comp at Taylor's, it was the ONLY thing that was workin' for me!...

Yes, you do need to flip the tranny..

Oh yeah, I'm using the JR590 servo, and I also get a bit of chassis flex, so I know it's enough torque (80 oz.)

You will have some, just don't get too cocky I'm on my 2nd 225MG and have had it apart 2 times now to try and get the front locking plate to stay put on the shaft - I rounded off an allan wrench over torquing the set screw...... I'm changing to a Hot to try it for a while.

Where are you guys getting them from? Looks like this dig is the ticket for those on a budget.

Tested mine last night, works well, for the price very well in my opinion. I have the JR XR3i so I have 4X4 or rear axle lock. takes for ever if I set up radio to use all three of the d.i.g.s positions. Will try to post pics tonight of how i mounted it to my Black Widow chassis.

Did you add the toggle switch to transmitter? It would take forever to modulate it with the stock A button...... Do the toggle, it's totally simple.

I'm wanting to see how others got around using the stupid top plate they give you. Most people don't use it anymore and they want us to go back to it.... Oh well. I'm thinking a little "L" bracket on the side of the chassis would work OK. I haven't had time to put mine on yet.

Still haven't got pics, but have a question about the jr radio toggle mod. Everything I read says it won't work on the XR3i, only the XR3 is there something I missed somewhere?

Easiest way to tell is to take the back of the Tx and look at where the A button wiring goes. If there is three wires then you can do it, if it only has two (like my stupid Spektrum DX3.0) then you can't.

ive installed this dig in my ax10 warthog and found it does get stuck when under load but slowly its getting better and i think with a bit more time it will work fine i paid $70 au for mine delivered from liquid rc i think for the price you cant go wrong and im using a hitec 225bb to power mine i might try going for something a little stronger to see if that makes ant difference

Hey, I think it's definitely enough...I still get a little bind under extreme load but I'm learning to tweak end points and throttle to get it to disengage without a reverse penalty...I've done all the internal polishing & lubing I can do, so now it's just a matter of time, learning the rig by running it!

Default Springs to Replace Green Tubing

Wondering if springs (small diameter) could be used to replace the green tubings supplied in the kit. Has anyone tried this? Would this help 'save' the servo?

I just run a solid link. No springs, no tubing. I use an Airtronics 94358 servo. Set your EPA's correctly, and you should be fine. The only time it's hard on the servo is when there is a half turn of rotation waiting for the dig to lock in.
