Straight from the TCS Stores add for the Boomarang rear 4 link: Tech Tip: Trucks with driveshafts have a negative effect created by the driveshaft called torque twist. You can help reduce this with these mounts by mounting the links as described here. In the back, install the driver's side upper link on top of the plate. The passenger side is mounted underneath. This asymmetrical set up should help alleviate torque twist. You should be able to run the stock scorpion springs without any pre-load on them. Put the travel limiters inside the shocks to lower the truck. Those changes should dial in your suspension and greatly improve your trucks performance. |

I've read the suspension geometry link and I think I understand it but don't know exactly how to summarize it. I know that it really does work and isn't just voodoo. So, I have borrowed some info from the TCS website. Tech Tip: Trucks with driveshafts have a negative effect created by the driveshaft called torque twist. For those of you with HR digs, Could you post a pic of your servo mount? I'd really appreciate it. My brain is fried from looking at this picturing a mount somewhere lol

Ah. Does the servo ever interfere with rocks there or the body? Sorry new to this chassis. My dig worked awesome with the top plate mount on the stock chassis.

With the chassis currently setup like in the pics it is still narrower then the stock AX10 chassis. Servo hangs out maybe 2MM more than the motor does on the other side. No hang ups as of yet.

| Bent links
Well I just got hooked up with some goodies yesterday from Downtown. Thanks Bro! I order some bent links from him and he did not disappoint. These things are beefy and have a lot of skid time built into them. I took a few poser pics, mainly of where my old links would limit wheel contact. Btw if your looking for links for whatever bent or straight, talk to Downtown. He's a vender on the site. And if you guys haven't seen this then don't miss out while you still have time to do it. EDIT: These came in white because I wanted to dye them. Last edited by P1choco; 03-04-2009 at 12:13 PM. |

Hey guys, wanted to say hello. And let you guys know about the blooddrive giveaway.. But it looks like SDarcher beat me to it. Archer-Links look good, Is that Scarlet that you dyed them? Ive used the wine color and it looks great. Gonna try out some tangerine and some feusha(hot pink) this weekend. |

Damn dude, you know your dyes. Yeah it's the Scarlett. Hot pink comes out real nice and if I had a clear body to paint, I'd rock them.

Here's mine: DNA Dig Rustler Shocks with rod end mod and super soft Losi springs Integy 55t XL-5 ESC (it sucks... looking to go with Sidewinder) TowerPro 995 servos (Will have the Futaba S9157 for steering as soon as it's in stock) Aluminum rear lockouts DX3 with 3 pos switch mod for DIG CC BEC That pretty much sums it up. Just finished building it and haven't run it much yet but so far I'm very impressed! I chose it over the SWX because it was $60 cheaper (in December), the lowers are triangulated better and everyone and their brother doesn't have it! Last edited by MtnBkr; 03-09-2009 at 06:12 PM. |
