I hope the sway bar works like the real deal! What happened to the new skid? It doesn't look like it is on there in that pic.

Looking good homie. I guess this is that 0.1% of the time that you are correct. |

Sorry guys.... I dont think I have ever been so busy in my life!!! Quote:
When I put this car together I knew I would need to control the torque twist. I just could not get myself to put stiffer springs on (I hate stiff springs in the rear!!!!) or do any of the other "tricks" or should I say "band-aids" to help control the situation. With the sway bar, you can choose the springs, shock oil or shock limiting. The sway bar does all the work while the rest can be dialed in for performance. This car gets zero TT with the sway bar and the setup is adjustable to make it mildly softer or stiffer. I could not be any more pleased with it. I have had these in testing for months now so they are ready to go. I just need to put up a vendors thread and some info. As usual, I will do a give a way for you guys too. Quote:
New skid is still good to go. That is just an old picture from this fall. Its the old poly carb skid so youre just seeing thru it. Nooooo not .1% that I am correct, .1% that you are correct | ||

Doesn't the sway bar add rate to each side, just like running a stiffer spring? They only way I see it not adding rate would be when both sides are equally compressed. On my twin hammer, wo the sway bar out back and with it, is a big difference in how the suspension feels. |

Its kinda like adding rate to springs but you dont get any of the drawbacks. For example, some of the drawbacks to running a stiffer spring in the back would be: With a stiff spring on a long straight loose climb, your car will hop in the back, think pogo stick. I actaully think you get more hop overall with stiffer rear springs and this is one of the main reasons I try to run the lightest rate possible in the rear. With a sway bar, it does not make you hop. The bar moves freely with zero resistance in the up and down motion. Say youre on a side hill with stiff springs. Youre not quite to full extension, the further your car gets sideways, the lighter that side gets. Now that spring wants to extend and push you over. A sway bar wont do that. A sway bar will actually want to keep your chassis level to the rock in all circumstances so you dont get your chassis pushing off in this situation as you would a stiffer spring. So yeah, it would increase articulation resistance but you dont get any of the drawbacks of the heavier spring. |

How do you have the torsion bar fixed to the carbon fiber arms so it's solid?

To me it looks like the small little silver bar twists. I doubt you could really get any flex with the carbonfiber. Bu thats just my guess.
