Cobalts in a berg axle are not much of worry.....I am not the best driver and mine did not damage anything....lots of torque though I was more hoping to break the shafts, but I'll take snapping the other stuff:P Later EddieO |

| Re: Dlux Sportsman build In no way was I discounting what you were saying. But I had nothing to base your tales of caution upon. With my xr experience I have really pushed my motors beyond 100 on epa I dont imagine ill start now. But I do appreciate all your help and guidance.

Usually I am a lugged tire sort of guy but for this build I imagine that I want something a bit smoother, less hop and more predictable since I wont have dig and clod stall to prevent all of that. I am a bit late to the show but I finally got a set of VOODOO's. I guess everybody says they work OK As I said above, I wanted to get the tires because I think they will be a great sporty tire but, I also wanted to support a guy/company that is holding everything together for us right now. IMO, Matt has gone above and beyond by doing a TEAM OTTSIX Post Season Build Off , he is supporting the COMPETITORS on a national level You won't believe this crap that OTTSIX pulled and supporting our hobby in general +++Voodoo $1,000 Nationals Challenge. So, 2 great reasons to buy OTTSIX VOODOO's would be to get a badass tire but another would be to support those how make this hobby happen. Without guys like Matt, we would not have much. Big thanks to Matt and OTTSIX! |

Witch ones did you go with. They work great. I have been running them for a while and they just keep getting better. I have golds in front and blues in rear.

I am giving the silvers a shot. I did drive Frankenwheely's car at the AZ shootout, his were gold and felt awesome. I may be getting more soon! Now I just need more blemished wheels to come off. LOL

I am not sure. LOL. I got 1st and last in sporty and 3rd overall behind two 1.9's. I didnt get any time to tune or drive the car. I put in another plastic spur gear, the motor ate that up quickly so I put in a steel spur. Next pack the steel spur held up but the final gear stripped. I put in another plastic final gear and have metal ones on order. I went to the comp and took it really easy on the car hoping to just get through the courses. I ended up not only getting through all the courses but put through about 5 packs with no problems after that. This is with a metal spur and the other two still being plastic. I think I will be going to metal gears anyway. I figured I gained about 5g from just the steel spur so if its just another 10g for the other two to be metal, I am good with that. To be fair, I tested in my wood pile. I was being abusive and sticking tires in holes and able to flop the car back and forth on that one tire so it was a pretty brutal test. Since the other parts on my car have been testing well on other cars and now this car, I will get some pictures and information and be rolling those parts out hopefully this week. |

Finally, how about some more pictures!? I am pretty stoked about these truss/link/servo mounts. They really could not have worked out much better. Dropped servo for a much better COG Servo is in a great spot for proper steering link geometry Upper links are adjustable. This is really cool for the Wraith style guys who only have one upper link mount on their chassis. Raising the links at the axle has tested overly positive for us so I think it will be great even if you have adjustability at the chassis. Steering links can be made so they are all behind the diff cover at all times. Servo horn does not extend past the front of the axle tube, no way it can get hit or in the way. NICE work Erik! I've been dying to see the pics of what you've been working on...it was worth waiting! The trusses are great, servo placement is perfect...and the electronics mount tops it all off...makes for a very clean install.
