Bring the SSS-RS cf but leave the boss claws at home! They don't work on our rock.

Multiple guys have tried them over the last 4 seasons. They don't work here.. Trust me bra, they just don't hook. We comp on so many different rocks, we have to use a universal tire. Bossclaws work on 25% or so of our rocks. Rovers work on 75% or so, and voodoos pretty much work on 100% of our rocks we have here. There is a reason everyone runs them.. Because they flat out work

For the most part, we run silvers on our sporties. They seem to hook the best on them.
And thanks man

I wonder if kryptonite would take these tires down...because so far rain, snow, sand, mud....hasn't touched them

One spot where we have really notice the Voodoo shine over the BC is in conditions like the pic. Obviously there was too much for you guys and the tires packed up but, we have noticed the Voodoo pack up MUCH less than the BC. Where we run in a lot of sand, this is a big deal.

Even in these conditions... and the rock is very low traction even when it's bone dry... the tires pulled all kinds of crazy lines.

Hittman your rig was running really good this weekend Weather included. When you get all those parts you have on……. I feel i might have to upgrade myself Just to keep up

Tire wise
Voodoo's are absolutely unstoppable they have been in snow, ice, rain, mud, loose sand and they are impressing me every time

NMRCC held it's 9th comp of the season today. This spot was tricky.. Lava field. Lots of traction, and lots of holes, but a very fun place to run. The rig was working awesome. The suspension still needs a bit of tuning, but for an untuned rig, it performs great. The Teflon on the skid is still great. It slides much easier than delrin, but seems to hold when you need it to.

Again, the CCC trans worked flawless. As said MANY times before.. The torque this thing produces with the 400 puller is crazy. The rig fell into some nasty holes today.. And that trans just spit the truck out like it was nothing. It's an awesome feeling to have in your rig, when you can get everything bound up, and it still has all the power to get it out. Barry hit a home run on this gear ratio.. Just great stuff! Thanks ClassiCutCustoms

Onto some scores.

Kinda easy courses.. But they all had their challenges. This is such a fun rig to drive, I love it

I am on spring break this week.. So I will FINALLY get pics up of the rig.. And be able to build my new front axle. Pics will be posted up tomorrow, and I will update the thread as I make progress on the axle.

Last two weeks have Ben much busier than I expected.. Owell.

I now have the rig ready to go with the new axle setup.. And I even took pictures as I was in the process of building it!

So what the rebuild consisted of..
New axle case
Rcbros beef tubes
Axial non 8* chubs
Dlux v2 brass knuckles in non 8* flavor
Boca ceramic axle bearings
And cf front upper links.

The axial chubs are not the same inner diameter as the xr knuckles are.. So the rcbros tubes needed some work. The planes were sanded ahold the way down, then the inside of the chubs were sanded the rest of the way. The axial chubs were also milled down like my pro to fit the xr universals.

I cut a .300" ring down to try.. I figured if it's too heavy I can take it off, or try a .100" ring. The knuckles weigh in at 4.2oz each. So technically I am running 3.2oz of knuckle weight per side.

Onto some pics..

I was able to make my old tierod work.. I just used my 4mm die to thread on two more threads, then sanded off two threads front the end, and it turned out perfect. I will be using my old draglink for now. I want to makes cf one.. But want to get some rpm jato ends first.

Had to make some steering stops

New vs old uppers..

Since those pics were taken the axle was finished up with new hardware in the knuckles and the steering links.

I will try to get some more pics up tomorrow of the new upper link positions and some finished pics.

Thanks for looking

Looks great man!

You may or may not know this... but I am not an SCX shock kinda guy.

What is the benefit of running those no preload cups on there? Is there not enough adjustment already or you just want to bring the spring further down the shock?

I was tired of breaking the cf spring cups I had before. Once they got oil soaked in them, they became brittle. I was making an order from ya a while back and figured I would buy some.
