Hopefully the link works, you'll see what you get. Not much to it, and at $29 (only pic I found) its way cheaper than a $70 bare Bomber cage, which I also have in the "holding pattern".

Too long for cheap lexan.

I like your design. Still not sure what I'm going to do with paint on mine. Really liking the illusion design vagabondcrawler did with his. Alas, I was thinking of doing an easy two-tone paint in red/white but GA Dawg beat me to it. Oh well.

At least my parts started to arrive!. Will get to building soon.

Don't let me stop you from painting it the way you want. My paint looks just like Jato's except that I went with red instead of blue.

It won't GA Dawg. I was just joking about how I had a paint scheme breakthrough only to find that someone else already had the same idea AND completed it before I even had a chance to react. It looks great!

Finally picked mine up! Was away on vacation and had it shipped to my friend's house.

I do have a dilemma though. I have few kits of various trucks now, and it's hard to decide which one to start first.

Ordered up one of the few parts this truck could use an upgrade on:

Super Shafty seems to be first to market with aluminum servo mounts, these are made from 7075 aluminum for $13. I don't think servo mounts are going to get much better until the behind the axle, comp type servo mounts start being made.

^ Ordered mine. I also asked Mike to look into the embedding on the forum here which was broken for a bit, but it's fixed now.

Sweet build Topher! I’m currently gathering parts for mine which will be my first crawler. I need a hobby that’s a little safer than dirt biking lol. Looks like the KLR/Ms are OOS at Shafty’s but I got the servo mount and MIPS shafts. Would you mind telling me where you got the “manual lockers” wheel nut covers from? TIA

Thanks!

You can get KLR/M’s and the 3 stage foams (recommended) directly from ottsix. I think they are in stock here.

https://www.ottsix.com/product-page/klr-m-1-9-4-75

The scale hubs are from ssd rc, their proprietary tool is needed for these.

Great shot of your "goat"

The more I see these KLR/M's, the more I like em'! I think the fit the look of the Capra.

Got my cage today. Woot, woot. As the package states, "UTB Cage Set Complete", I assumed just that. Well...., that the hardware would come with it. Complete, right? Nope. That puts the brakes on the fab shop fun. Oh well, time to find the assembly instructions to see what screws are needed.

They do look extra wicked on those black SSDs with the orange paint - good to hear they are working well for ya!

I keep watching the 1:1 bouncers running the Kryptonite Kustoms USD Stickys, waiting for them to do better - don't know what the deal is, but they keep getting beat...

Maybe Clint Evans and the Ford-powered "2 Whoa" may change things...

Yeah, I finally got one! I was going to wait and buy this for this winter's build, but couldn't wait any longer. It was getting really hard seeing all these cool Capra builds! I'll get a build thread up sometime soon!

Man, I was bummed about Feelin' Frosty this year. I had this event planned all year since last years Fun Run. It sucks that of all days, a monsoon had to come rolling in on Saturday! I ended up staying home. I didn't feel like driving 3 hours to go get soaked and play in the mud all day then have to drive back home that night. I'll definitely be going next year. It is supposed to be at Team KNK's R/C Farm. That place is a blast to run at!
