Today, two things.

First, I completed the second-from last step on my "special" interior..........finally. With my job, and us entering our "pre-holiday busy season", don't get much time to work on it...but, it's (finally) almost finished.

Second, I turned these:Into these:
I have an idea for the shocks, and want to see if these will work with my idea. Don't know if they'll work, but if they do, great. Officially, they started out as the BP Custom Wraith Shock Relocation & Lowering Kit. All it took was a little time with the Dremel.

My boss has been letting me make parts at work to aid in learning how to design for their equipment, so I busted out an aluminum servo mount. (This was technically yesterday though )

Thanks Ernie. I know you're an awesome fabricator, but if you ever need any tiny parts or need anything mass produced, shoot me a message.

In short, I FINALLY finished the interior. No time to install it today, it tomorrow, so planning/hoping to get it installed on Monday...then, it gets it's first true outdoors testing on Tuesday.

Weather was fairly nice today, so I spent the day painting the body panels and interior. Also soldered extension wires to the servo, ESC & DIG servo and wrapped them all with wire covers.

I set up my dig servo today. Took awhile because I’m not used to the full potential of my dx5c. Had to read the directions quite a bit but I got it. There sure is a lot of flex in that little mount.

Lots of progress! Looking forward to seeing them all done.

Jeff those servo mounts came out nice, especially for you being new at it. Nice work.

With my Capra finally finished, I was able to take it out for a test run...which, unfortunately, got cut way short, as clients were ready to depart the 'stop' far earlier than expected. Anyway, here's a few shots:
Look for the full thread, under the title "A Black Cat, and a White Goat".

The only thing I actually did TODAY was add Hardcore RC Ti links, but as you can see from the pics, I've also added Vitavon portal weights, a JEC brass servo mount and Dravtech shocks. And in the back I added a 3-Axis Design link riser. Yeah baby.

Didn't get much done recently. Finally finished painting my panels and put them on. Haven't put the wheels on yet as I'm waiting for my foams.

Still haven't bought the portal weights either. Debating whether to get the vitavon, or wait for more parts to trickle out.

Looking good punk. Did you need to space out your wheels any more to fit the brass covers?

Mine were delivered today but need to go to the main office here tomorrow to pick them up.

@soze, I’m hoping someone comes out with a portal cover that replaces the plastic, maybe an inner portal cover along with it, vitavon has good weight at a good price though so giving it a shot.

Thanks!

Nope, drop in fit. I was even able to leave my beef patties on. May take those off those depending on how it handles.
