Love the motor...no complaints whatsoever. Go 3500 kV.

I'm not sure if there is any video of today's competition event. The pin is 100% good, it's just the picture. I had it wound out doing some pretty awesome hills climbs today and the JB Kwik axle (passenger side) is perfect and the driver's side is still perfect as it came from Incision.

I'm geared 12t/56t and may drop down to a 11t pinion as I really don't need that much speed, even for bouncing!

Remember the Incision Axle dogbone pin issue I was having? For shits and giggles, I pressed the pin back into position and then applied a very small amount of JB Kwik around the pin where it exits the axle ball end. Once the epoxy cured, I smoothed the JB Kwik with a file so that the epoxy would not present any clearance issues once the axle was inserted into the front diff cup. After last evenings 2+ hours test session, which did involve a ton of wheel speed, the axle pin has not moved one bit.
Nice! Could also clean the pin with degreaser, drop of Red Loctite or Sleeve Retainer, press it back in place, wipe off excess, let sit overnight and no filing required. Has worked well for me.

LOve those SSD beadlocks too, wish I could get them in 1.9!

All cleaned and detailed again.....

Couple little updates; I swapped out the blue RPM link ends on the steering turnbuckles for Traxxas Revo link ends, I discovered the larger RPM ends were limiting suspension up travel.

I dropped from a 12t pinion to a 11t because quite honestly, I don't need the B1B to be a rocket with the HH PP3500 kV motor.

I've been following since the beginning and always enjoy reading your updates. Thanks for sharing cause I know it inspires and helps others when they upgrade.

I have asked before and you told me but how In The world do you get your rigs so clean after that mud dunking. You have to do a tutorial with what you use. I mean it looks like you just got brand new parts and installed them. Big for your detail clean up.

Thanxs for the feedback cmbscx10. With the latest detail job, I disassembled the front, rear and body sections to make it easier; tearing this rig down is very quick & easy due to the unique B1B configuration. Good 'ole elbow grease with a damp rag gets the main, broader areas clean and then I use various horsehair detail brushes to get into the tight spots. For final detailing, I spray a bit of silicone lubricant onto a detailing brush to "blacken" the plastic as well as spraying all moving parts (link ends) and using the same brush to soak up and blend in the silicone over-spray. A dab of WD-40 goes into all drivehsaft and axle universals. Pledge furniture polish is great for polishing bodies as well as blackening plastics too. Tires and wheels go into the laundry tub with a liberal coating of Castrol Super Clean or Purple Power, then scrubbed, rinsed and then blown dry with a compressor. I do this routine after every outing for all my rigs....I cannot stand having a dirty truck on my shelf! Luckily I do enjoy the cleaning and detailing part as well.

Question... Maybe I missed it in here somewhere, but is there a difference in wheelbase with the B1B conversion vs the stock set up? I'm building up a "leftovers" rig with a full Bomber skid/axle set up, a bunch of Exo parts and a Wraith based custom tube chassis. I'm hoping the wheelbase is the same so it doesn't create issues with the chassis' suspension geometry. Thanks!

Kudos on the stellar build!!

That's a good question and I honestly can't remember. I believe it's the same wheelbase but I have lengthened the B1B WB and shortened the solid axle Bomber's WB.

Stock Bomber wheelbase is 14 3/4. After the B1B conversion but still using stock length trailing arms, my wheelbase stayed exactly the same. I'm now running Wraith length TAs and my wheelbase sits at 14 3/8.

Some Holmes Hobbies goodness buried deep within the B1B Bomber! Just added the HH SHV500 (12v) servo to this beast.

It's been a while since I have taken out the B1B Bomber for a good bounce & crawl. The HH 12v SHV500 servo performed flawlessly, but that was to be expected! This machine performs so spectacularly that it still blows my mind what it can tackle. Definitely my most favourite machine in my arsenal of crawlers. At this point, there is absolutely nothing I would change....it's just that good!

My 9 year old son took out my Wroncho Bug along with a few great guys I regularly crawl with. Another great day of crawling

Here's a quick vid of a rock-face crawl from today...the face is much steeper than it appears on camera and the perfect amount of throttle control was needed to make it up.

A couple of changes....

I replaced the rearmost Yeti shock's plastic caps and retainers with Axial's new metal King shock caps and retainers; looks much better now!

The front Yeti Incision driveshafts were replaced with Vanquish driveshafts and the shock limit straps were relocated in order reduce droop by a few millimeters.

Got my kit yesterday. Waiting on a few packages from SS, Tower and Vanquish before I start the build.

My servo can barely move. I don't have close to clearence Screamer and Altd have in the pics on page 8. This rig is going to have a turning radius like a RTR Yeti XL.

If you guys have additional pics of the clearence and mounting, I would love to see them. I've checked every B1B thread and Jerry's photobucket but I must be missing something. Thanks.
