You guys are quiet... I feel like the hyperactive kid talking all the time with no one listening. Too many pictures ? |

Nice build so far. I have been quietly watching and learning. Just finished building a Wraith and plan on building a Bomber next. I’m liking all the pics, so keep em coming! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

| Re: The French Canadian Bomber (First-time Build) I can't seem to get any activity in any of my threads either man, don't take it personally. Its why I don't document everything, just big milestones or trips out using them. Unless you've got an uber homemade scale build where you hand fabricate everything, kinda fly under the radar here it seems like.

I moved the servo from left to right for the first time today and there is an awful clicking sound when I go full right. I have a week left to return it on Amazon. Is it something normal or should I try sending it back? It's a savox 1231sg. It sounds like gears skipping or grinding. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Make sure the servo end points are not over extended.? How does the servo act, not connected to the steering link.? Sent from my SM-N910C using Tapatalk Last edited by NWKENT; 10-07-2017 at 06:40 PM. | |

I have not plugged anything yet so no end points or esc settings. Just manually moving the steering links left and right. I'll try to make a small video when the kid is asleep. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Here's the video. I hope the sound is loud enough, it seemed ok when I play it back but the forum might affect it. https://photos.app.goo.gl/P3ASOZzvi3ZVHnZ93 Last edited by Jboucher; 10-07-2017 at 08:14 PM. |

There was no clicking without the servo but I'll recheck. If that savox is dead out of the box, with the missing kit sprue, thats 2 manufacturing errors on my first build... I hope thats not a cursed truck which will end up on the workbench more than the trail... I sent a email to Savox and I think I will fill the Amazon return form just in case. There's a couple of threads about servos. Look to spend around $100 for a lifer.

Yeah i looked at the new HH SHV500 v2. But it comes out at 150$ US shipped to canada... Its a bit high for me. I will look at the inventory from my local shop. They have the Savox 1231sg in stock and lots of HiTec and Spektrum. |

The Bluebird servos have a little following. There's another that's good and strong. I bought a couple beefy Chinese servos a year ago and they've held strong for now. I don't abuse my rigs like others do. But for a crawler they do OK. A claimed 60kg torque rating for about $20-30usd.

Well i figure im already so deep into my pockets for this build, might as well go all the way. I just ordered a Holmes Hobby SHV500 v2. Might sleep on the couch when my wife finds out it's another 100$ more than planned... Go Holmes or go home i guess ? |

Little update tonight. I went ahead and built the 2 shocks i have enough parts for. Went alot better than i thought but i have no clue if they are filled correctly. I filled them to the brim with the shaft up top. If i tried with the shaft at the bottom, it was too much pressure and wouldn't cycle when closed. Again it's my first time so i could be wrong. I went for the variable rate, slower compression and faster rebound. I used the stock kit oil and green slime on all the o-rings. Back to waiting for the delivery truck... |
