so I remembered today that when I put the servo back together after modifying it that I didn't put any grease at all back into the gear box so I figured I'd open it up and put some in there

I popped it open and got a nasty burnt electronics smell, and then realized that maybe I should have gone ahead and stripped the components off the board before I just soldered the two wires to the motor, lol. I guess the power was feeding back into the original circuit on the board and it caused a little overheating

no worries though; stripped it clean, then soldered some wires back to it, and even went ahead and put a 2-pin connector on it so it's easier to remove and install onto the truck

got bored and thought the truck needed a minor change in appearance. so I pulled the top bar off the rear cage, flipped it over, and mounted the spare up on top of it

doesn't seem to have thrown the COG off all that much, as the tire doesn't weigh a whole heck of a lot to begin with, and I only moved it a couple inches up, but it gave me a TON of room to play with in the back, so I may have to find some scale stuff to throw in there now

but I think tomorrow I'm going to trim the front bumper a little... have a little rubbing issue...

bumper interference fixed

also moved some stuff around in the back to make it not looks so "empty"

Just went through your whole thread. I see a lot of similarities in our thinking! Keep up the good work!

Your rig is what inspired me to get back into this. Awesome build thread!

I may be offering you some beer in exchange for some one-on-one coaching here soon...

completely forgot about this thread for a little while

here's some photos of the rig in action from the G6 feeler last weekend (the 4th)

the winch was totally useless; not enough line, and the fact that it's wired makes it too cumbersome to even try to use...

I see your using the Ali bumper parts on your rear bed, I think the centre part matches the shape of the rear bed opening too, just an idea

Looks great

well guys, the truck's up for grabs. letting it go to fund another project (a faster one ) should show up in the classifieds soon

this little thing was a blast for sure, and I'm going to miss it, but I just don't use it as much as I use to, and I hate to see it just sit...

Nice truck I have been going back and forth on what my next truck will be and the SCX10 is almost always the one I'm looking at. Too bad I can't see the classified yet guess I need to quit looking and post a little more so I can see whats available on here.
