Thanks for the info. Also I had a hard time with my highland lockers in the rear. I had to find that sweet spot in the shafts. Every time I tightened them they would move out a little. I got new axial cvd's and they went right on no issues.

Alright so I got that highland locker out and replaced with the RCP:

It's not a no-slop locker but I'm not getting any wobble and it's solid as can be.

Also went ahead and threw a set of these in instead of the original dog bones:

AND....my new fender flares arrived from friggin' Spain. They look really cool. As soon as I get them mounted I'll get a photo up.

Couple shots with the new fender flares, they turned out really nice and are quite flexible. Now the basher body doesn't look like the wheel wells are too big (because they were cut for 2.2's). Now I just need to scratch this thing up some so the silver will start to show through.

How are the pitbulls on those wheels? I've heard a lot of people have trouble getting them to stay on the rims?

I haven't had any issues with them.

Ha, thanks! I can't decide between the two. The orange and white one is correct to the year, has the lights and windshield wipers. But the black one looks pretty sweet, especially with the new flares.

Sooo...getting ready for the comp this weekend. Pulled apart the servo last night and filled it up with some more dielectric grease. I'd done this once before but I had trouble getting to the underside of the board. Everything looked clean inside even with being fully submerged a couple weeks ago. The two new pitbulls showed up today so I'll be able to replace the one with a hole in it. It will make a good spare tire...and match, unlike the flat iron I had on there. I should be good to go for Sunday. Now if I can just get the wraith back together!

Oh, and I almost forgot...some of my redneck came out and I install the exhaust smoke stacks thru the bed on the basher body! I'll get a photo up later on this evening. They don't look half bad!

You know the only servo I've done anything too was the winch servo and thats just because I pulled it apart to turn it into a winch and add the heyok stuff. Haven't had any problems.

Ordered up a set of fender flares. Also another quick question. Are your rear links measured from end to end or center of rod ends?

You don't do anything to them to waterproof them?

My links are measured end to end. But that includes the threaded portion simply because that's how VP advertises them on their website. To get the shoulder to shoulder length on a VP link you subtract 19mm from the total length. A 115mm link is actually 96mm shoulder to shoulder.

I also use revo rod ends which are 5mm longer than the stock axial rod ends. That extra 5mm on either end makes these match the stock links exactly.

So a 115mm link with revo rod ends is the exact same length as a stock axial 106mm link with axial rod ends.

Weird but true...I found this out the hard way and have a set of links in a box at home that are too short. And they're not super cheap.

The 120mm ones just add 5mm to that changing the pinion angle. 115's would work just like the stock on top as long as you have a 4 link setup.

What servo's do you run?

You have a favorite? I've got Hitec 7950's in both of my rigs...after a Traxxas 2075 froze up and my tower pros were too weak to turn the wheels while the truck was sitting still.

So far so good but they're practically brand new. That's just a lot of coin to drop on an electrical part that's going to be wet.

I guess only time will tell. I'd like to find a more economical one that performs well. These were so pricey I'm scared to use them for fear of ruining them. I need something that works well and doesn't stress me out every time it gets close to a puddle, know what I mean? I shouldn't let it get to me. If I can get some good life from these two I'll be happy.
