Looks bad man!
How difficult was the cut and shut method?

I didn't think it was that difficult. It's a little tedious. I used this glue recommended by a budy:

That's the stuff that we all said we would never need to know..algebra and geometry. Funny how much of those two are used in this hobby.
Good tip on the string, thanks.

Thanks! Same truck, two bodies.

So here's the Tekin 35T that burned up this weekend. I must have put it away wet because it was full of rust and corrosion. All the more reason to spray them out with motor cleaner after each use. Last time I ran it was at Busse and that's all rocks...it must have been close to going then. I do remember it giving a little puff that day. This guy would need a new armature and end bell. I think it's a goner. It's alright though. I got a good 7 months of use out of this motor not to mention I cut the comm with a drill and sandpaper. Hell of a motor...but time for the garbage.

Dropped in a Tekin 35T HD that I bought from a guy on here in the classifieds for $20. Looks like it's never been used. Should be good to go for next weekend's comp! Hopefully this guy will perform as well as the last.

Thanks. I can't remember exactly how much I cut off. I have the DH Fab bumper for the honcho. Here's a photo. I cut it right under the headlights.

I trimmed the rear bumper off as well. I've got the RC4WD bumper with tire carrier. I think I trimmed some off the sides as well, they were too long.
