Wow $60?? I bet they are smooth but I don't think I'll spend that much just on shock bodies.

Had a nice package waiting for me this morning at work, I can now finish the JK chassis and hopefully wheel it soon! Some of the parts are for the Prez's new rig, build thread coming soon. Last edited by Ty@Tekin; 09-16-2015 at 10:19 AM. |

Put some 7mm hexes on, gave a little more room between the knuckles and the tire. Installed the VP CMS Bumper Mount, what a nice piece. Still going to use the Jevne plate and mount a winch servo in there somewhere! Got a lot of space to work with. VP Motor Plate and gear cover: And the VP Rigid Industries light bar with A-pillar brackets. Just need to shoot some black on them and route the wiring cleanly. I'm officially ready for electronics now, will start on that soon. Can't wait to wheel this Jeep! Last edited by Ty@Tekin; 09-16-2015 at 10:21 AM. |

I love the light bar. I am considering buying one and sticking it on my honcho.

Ty - which Jevne plate did you get? I saw 2 different ones - one made for a CMS (like the hands brother one) and another.. just curious build looks great man! |

| Re: Ty's Axial Jeep JK build I got it from Greg at Axialfest last year, it's not the CMS version. The VP CMS mounts the servo horizontal up front so even the other plate wouldn't work for both. It's all good, I can mount up the winch servo still!

do you think a bumper that mounts to the outside of the framerails would have issues with the VP mount? I have one of the rock armor ones and it attaches to the outside (via screws), not like the stock axial one | |

Did some work tonight, mostly on the steering and shocks, then started on the wiring. There's an RS GEN2 and Micro Spektrum hiding in the box. Still have lots to do before she's all functional, but I'm hoping to get it moving under it's own power tomorrow! I really want to hit the trails with it soon! This little dude wandered into the lab tonight! More coming soon! Last edited by Ty@Tekin; 09-16-2015 at 10:22 AM. |
