Its my pleasure Justin..thank you.
This may not be for everyone but hopefully it will help someone along the way who may not have the expendable money but still wants a great performing
SCX10. And even if you did this is still another alternative route.

good stuff mate, thanks for the write up.

I have only had my Wrangler for a month or so now and am enjoying making bits for it as well as using parts that are being discarded by others to see what I can come up with. It is an expensive hobby so every little bit helps

It does help quite a bit...Seems a lot think its only about bolting on the latest hi tech parts and its not..Alot has evolved with the scx10 that many have already been through, but not many start with the basics...These basics make your truck better when you decide to chose to put some of those other parts on it down the road..I wish more understood that.

Thanks for the compliment..we need more like you on here who get it.

It's good ol' West Virginia boys like us who know how to make something out of nothing. I don't know about you but I know I've done it my whole life. It makes me feel better about something if I know I made something for it that helps it work better. Like I've got a very cheap if not free way to make a CMS. If you want me to I could post it up.

Good stuff. I disagree with the need to hack up the rear cross brace to gain up travel but otherwise, some very good tech.

Yep! And work smart enough to where I was able to retire at the age of 31.But any way if you really want to talk about where people are from you need to look up Them boys from up PA. I seen one he had a sheep under each arm. I asked him what he was doing. All he said was pimpin'........LOL

What is it you did to gain more travel without changing shocks?

Only thing i can think of maybe is a rear truss that mounts a lot lower in the center and if it had extended bracing like the stock one it would have to be a lot lower as well. or none at all.

But i found the stock truss to hit in 2 places ..The top and the extended bracing...So that was what i come up with to solve that issue without buying parts.

Thank you...if you have any questions just ask..ill do the best i can to answer...This is just some basics you can do to get started...theres a lot more to do with different parts and electronics and batteries...This is the low budget version of a great performing truck..How you end up driving it and things you might break will determine if youll need more or not.

I think if you drive it normal though youll be fine..lol

It's been said before, but thanks for this thread dude. Great info all in one place.

Question: with regards to weight and COG. In the standard setup, you have your battery on the plate above the front axle mounted on the 3 stand off posts. Now different people have different ideas with regards to switching to saddle packs on the rock sliders, and removing the battery plate over the front axle.

Then others say to add wheel weights to the stock setup.

My question is which is the better option? I have a Dingo that's pretty much stock, except for brushless system, and about 200 grams per front tire.

Thanks for your help...
