The part number is 5347 for the traxxas ends...youll need 2 packs if your going to 4 link the front and the rear ....only comes with 12 ends and balls per package..Around 8 or 9 dollars per pack.. youll need 16 ends in total to do the 4 link up front as well Tools?..either a hacksaw or a tubing cutter or a dremel with a cut off wheel and it makes life easier if you can get yourself an 8-32 tap to thread the the traxxas ends first. You don't have to its just a lot harder to get them threaded straight and not very easy to thread. Keep in mind you will have to relocate the battery to do one of the mods on the front ..re read it and make sure that's what you want to do before doing it. | Re: Stock SCX10 Performance Tech. First, it's an 8-32 bottoming tap, not a standard tap. Second, wouldn't you have less chance of the rod end pulling out if you just screwed the threaded rod into virgin plastic as opposed to cutting threads in it first?

http://www.hobbypartz.com/ I recommend the Thunder AC6 charger and the gens ace roar approved batteries with the hard cases...the 4000mah 2s 25c for a single pack or the 4800 25c 2s saddle packs for skid rail mounting...if you decide to move up to 3s in the future you can get good ones from there as well...They even have a 3300mah I think for 20 something dollars ..lol Its not that much more power only being rated 2 tenths of a volt more over an Nimh but you can notice it and it maintains a much higher voltage throughout the discharge rate. A simple comparison would be say you raced on an rc track...You go 2, 3 maybe 4 laps and your power is already dropping off a considerable amount and showing as your speed gets slower and slower ..With a lipo its like a freshly charged pack throughout the entire race..You do lose voltage but not near as much within that period of time.,,Just a much better power source in general. keep us informed on your progress..Start a thread and show us some pics Last edited by 6sharky9; 01-10-2014 at 05:39 AM.

Sharky, you should update your first couple of post with all the new info: Traxxas part numbers, where to find threaded rod and sleeves, etc. |

Cheapest place I've found to get the threaded rod is Lowes. It's like $3.00. No shipping no waiting no nothing. that way just walk in and grab it and you're ready to go.

Around here we have Ace hardware. Any hardware store should have it on hand. Coincidentally many also sell small diameter tubing too.
