I don't plan on running the roof much anyway. Probably gonna get a soft top eventually.

I just got some small but amazingly strong magnets and am planning on trying that to attach the hard top. I can let you know how well that works if I get them on any time soon.

Also, where did you get that Moab sticker? I just went there for spring break and never saw any stickers like that.
Yeah let me know how the magnets work. I got the Moab stickers like 5 or 6 years ago passing through Moab on my way to New Mexico. Don't remember where just some little T-shirt shop.

Man, I love those treps - they look good on the proline beadlocks

I think orange beadlock rings would kill it on your jeep! (any paint left?)

Thanks. I'm happy with the treps. First kit I've had that I didn't want to buy new tires right away. I actually thought about painting the rings. Still thinking about it.

I guess I could always just paint them black again if I didn't like it. Hmmmm...

x2, do it!

@OP, got a better close up wheel and tire pic with better lighting? The light source is kinda from behind the truck and that makes it hard to see the black wheels.

I decided against it. I'm too happy with how it looks now.

I'm really pleased with how my JK turned out. For coming straight out of a box and looking as scale as it does, I think Axial did an awesome job on this kit. I know some people are frustrated with Axial right now, but come on, they make an awesome product. Sure, I'd love to see new stuff from them right now as well, but you still can't argue the fact that the SCX10 is an awesome scale platform and very versatile and capable right out of the box. I'd love to see some new bodies, and because they have Jeep licensing I think it would be cool to see some vintage bodies, a Cherokee Chief or a J10 Gladiator body would be highest on my wish list. I know it probably won't happen but I can dream right?

In some of the other pics I posted you can see the wheels quite a bit better.

I put the magnets on and they seem to be working well. The only time the hardtop came off was when I rolled it. I can post some pictures of what I did and how I did it if you want.

So I'm sitting with my wife watching the billboard awards and realized I had two options. Leave and hide in my man cave, listen to some metal and tinker with my Jeep or kill myself. I chose the first option. I've had her out a couple time now in stock form because I wanted to see how she would perform stock before making any changes. First change was to move the battery up front. I need to get some different foams and was thinking about doing the overdrive/under drive mod. Should I do just the front or go for both? Ledges are my biggest challenge right now.

Took these pics last week and finally got around to posting them up. I'm gonna try and get out to this spot again and see what difference moving the battery up front makes.

Sorry it took so long to get this up. Here is how I mounted the magnets.
1. Take the cage off and drill four holes where you want them, I found it easiest to drill them in the four spots where most of the roll cage intersects. Drill them all the way through!
2. Glue the four magnets to the hard top itself close to where you drilled the holes in the roll cage. I used JB weld.
3. Screw the hard top on to the roll cage as you normally would.
4. Use something (preferably non-magnetic) to situate the magnets so they line up with the holes drilled in the roll cage
5. Take the hard top back off and glue the other four magnets in the four holes in the roll cage. Make sure they are facing the right direction to stick to the magnets on the hard top!
6. Remount the roll cage and put the hard top on, it should stick right on with the magnets
7. Your done! (unless you glued the magnets in the wrong way like I did the first time )

And I got the magnets from here K&J Magnetics - Strong Neodymium Magnets, Rare Earth Magnets
