My point was just that we could all write a post for every single one of our problematic ssd axle housings and repeat each other til kingdom come, but I think we should rather accept that there is a problem there and move on.

Discount code? Trade in program? Something .. Hundreds of $$ in gears I have sitting in a box stripped because of this issue.

Hundreds of dollars worth of gears? I probably would have switched to a different axle housing after the second set of gears (and knowing the cause of the failure) myself, but I'm the type that would rather spend money on mods than repairs.

My front diff has developed a good bit of slop. I have had these since they first came out and they have a lot of hours on them, many of those with a Roc 412 and 3S. I'm going to try and get it apart today and see what the gears are looking like. Those tiny cheap screws are a PITA.

Some who are thrashing really hard on their rigs are having issues. Others are having none.

Mine are over a year old. The front has a bit of slop but the rear is fine.

If/when you do buy them, get the HD diff covers (at least for the front) that have the angled bottom. The stock cover hangs up a lot where the angled one helps sliding over. Also buy some quality screws before you install them. The included screws are soft. I cant get my front cover off without mangling the cover and/or screws. Mildly annoying since I wanted to swap out for OD gears up front.

Same here. There is some slop in mine, but never had problems with them.

I can say mine hold up in that area better than a stock housing does, that's for sure

Good advice here too. You will want the HD covers.

A BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BAG housing has so much slop the bearings wont even hold themselves in place.. Tell me again how that is thrashing really hard WHEN THEY COME LIKE THAT OUT OF THE BAG??

I have seen a few housings that hold decently. Leading to more understanding why SOME people might not have any issues.. This however does not change the major design flaw MANY MANY people have run into.. SSD and the rest of you need to quit trying to downplay the issue just because they don't want to $$ for it.

Settle down tuff stuff. I'm paraphrasing to someone who asked what the issue is.

I can only speak of my experience... which is that mine don't have crazy slop. I'm sorry that yours do, but honestly, you keep buying them, which I wouldn't do if I'd had that many issues.

We all get it, you're super pissed, but don't call me out about down playing the issue. You're blowing it up into something more than it is. If the product is defective out of the bag, then return it, and buy a different housing.

I've asked others who are running these housing and they don't have issues either. The only people I've heard of with an issue are in this thread.

Except SSD themselves acknowledged there was an issue.. So much for your theory..

I did abandon the D60, Using TKOs on several rigs. Not a single issue, really a well built and thought out product. KUDOS. Take notes SSD. When a minor flaw was discovered ( one of people snapping the ends of the housings off from driving too rough ).. He pulled all the axles, and reworked the design .. What a good company does ;)

Also using a SSD diamond on another rig, Again, no issues.

Its not as if I don't know how to assemble things and drive them, Its that the product is not made as well as other products available , Even a product from the same company..
