Wish someone would put these on the SCX10 II and comment!

Anyone know what size is needed for the front and back?

Loss of performance by raising your center of gravity and gaining more flex making it more unstable. Probabaly mess with the CMS geometry aswell

More than 90mm suspension on the 10.2 does mess up the CMS quite nicely. I attempted it and things got squirrely. Now if you went and changed it from CMS to Axle mounted that changes everything. Got myself an Axle Mounted option from UCFab which is an interesting idea, currently have it installed on my Komodo though so not sure how it would do on the 10.2 yet, and I have VP front axle on my rig anyway so I cannot really use the Axle Mounted option at the moment.

Would the 80mm's be too small for a trail rig? Any problems there potentially with geometry?

Folks run 80mm ones that are about that low life.
I want to build a low slung light weight rig using 10.2 axles.

Good eye, I checked earlier this morning and they still weren't in yet and I found 80mm's here in the states. Looks like I'll be getting the 90's. Thanks for the heads up.

Unfortunately they are having a laugh with the international shipping rates. For a 6 week USPS shipment they want $30!!!! It cost me only a little bit more than that for a $400 Holmes Hobbies order and it arrived in a week. That order would weigh approximately 10 times what 2 pairs of shocks weigh.

I'll wait for it to come in stock at another seller who has reasonable international shipping policies.

^^^What about straight from junfac for you? I love rpp, but hate having to pay the CA sales tax. I'm gonna order the rc4wd rock sliders while I'm at it. The $10 off code will at least cover my taxes.
*Edit* Had to add a couple bucks to use the $10 off coupon so I just ordered 2 pairs of the 90mm rezzies, the rc4wd sliders, and an RCC scale banner.

Thanks, just checked and they charge only $8 shipping. The 90mm piggyback is out of stock but I'll keep an eye on it.

So who else picked up the 90mm piggybacks from rpp? I see they're out of stock already. Mine should be here Friday and I'm off Friday and Saturday so hopefully I can get them tested. Which pistons with the stock springs would you guys who have them suggest? I'm thinking AE oil in the 30-40 WT.

I ordered the 90mm non piggyback version. I'm going to start off with the 3 hole pistons 35wt up front and 30 out back.

If the damping in the piggy backs is like the non-piggyback versions i have, you'll find yourself reaching for some 10k diff oil.

What pistons are you using? 4 hole?

IMO the big advantage of the piggybacks is the adjustable damping.

I started with 30wt, 3 hole pistons. Went to 60wt, 2 hole pistons - still no dice. I made the leap to 15k wt (it's what i had, and use in my king shocks) and the 4 hole pistons. This is overkill, but not by so much. It actually works well on jumps and big bumps (this is my twin hammers) but jacks down over very rough ground at speed.
I'll buy some 90mm piggybacks when in stock with soft springs, and i think i'll buy some 5k wt and start with 3 hole pistons.

The piggyback adjustment will allow for tweaking spring rate progression near the end of the stroke, but is't going to do anything for the damping force.
