Is that with the rock krawler springs? Looks like there must not be enough sag (springs too firm). I wonder what the gmade 'soft' springs will be like.

The rock krawler springs are in the rear, but they're from the 90mm's I have. I ordered a spring kit for the 110's and a set of beef tips. The stock rock krawler springs aren't all that soft.

I have the Gmade piggybacks with the soft white springs and I reckon It Is still too stiff. Not sure where to go next . Think I'll build up the stockers with X ring seal and AE top bladder.

Shorter springs mean less preload adjustment is needed.

Thats a shame - thanks for posting, you just saved me finding the same issue.
I am now thinking the rc4wd 110mm rock krawler shock springs are the way forward here. Their 'spring assortment' kit might just do it. They should be soft enough, have the right diameter and are just 2mm shorter.

I noticed that gmade 'white' is medium, not soft, which are green?

True. My thinking behind the rock krawler springs are they're sold in a kit for under $15, there's 4 different spring rates to play with, the kit is enough for 2 rc4wd dual shocks which means there's 4 springs in each rate, enough for all 4 rsd's should you want the same rate all around, they're readily available, and the rsd springs are sold in pairs for $5 so the rc4wd kit is only a couple bucks more.

Are the traxxas big bores diaphram or emulsion shocks? Do they come with different damper pistons?

For trail riding the stiff springs weren't half bad.

Good news and bad news. The good news is that the rc4wd springs fit perfect on the shocks and the beef tips. The bad news is that the beef tips don't fit the 3.5mm shock shaft. Hopefully I can bore them out to fit though.

Yep, took a whole 2 minutes to drill them out slightly. Next con is that the rsd rod ends don't fit in the beef tips, but the axial ones do so no biggie there.

Just ordered 3 sets for my 6x6, after i had bad luck with Yeah Racing Lizzard shocks. Ordered the soft green springs with them. My 6x6 is quit heavy so guess a bit sitff springs would be oke.

Question Re: Gmade RSD Suspension?

Hello, can anyone tell me the difference in performance of this RSD piggyback and the XD piggyback?

I'm concerned about the stiff spring issue. It's worth buying or I shout look somewhere? My plan is to use in my SCX10 for trail and hill climb.

Thanks in advance.

The shocks are nice you just need to get softer springs.

Default Gmade RSD Suspension?

I run them in my SCX with 20wt oil and stock springs. I want a bouncy ride but the springs are still a little too stiff. I haven't tried any other springs yet but the XD it a much larger diameter shock. Not as scale looking at all.

For a trail truck the stock stiff springs weren't as bad as I thought, but the rock krawler springs made a world of difference with the 0.4 and 0.8 rates.

What "bouncy" means exactly? A kick back thing? Thatīs my actual problem with the chinese shocks that i have in my scx10. If i hit a obstacle, my actual shocks kicks my rc. My friends call my scx10 "goat".. LOL I think that iīm using a very thick oil, but my springs seems to be ok...
