That's perfect! Love it!

Is that Tamiya anodized blue paint?

Thanxs all, I'm extremely happy with how this rig turned out and I hope it crawls as good as it looks....which I'm sure it will!

Tamiya PS-49 Sky Blue Anodized Aluminum with PS-5 Black as a backer.

That is exactly the color I was looking for for a Nukizer body I have. I had been looking at these LRP blue or light blue paints but had never used them or known anybody who had so kept hesitating. Thanks again. Sweet build by the way.

I was able to get some time on the Power Wagon's first test session in my backyard and I have to say, I am very impressed with the rock crawling performance straight off of the workbench.

I have a number of benchmark test lines I use to determine performance and if one my crawlers cannot conquer these lines, it's back to the workbench to figure out why.

For this particular rig, I determined I needed just a bit more wheelbase and added approximately a quarter inch to the rear links. The other item that needed attention that I should have done when I was building the front Traxxas shocks was to add 4mm internal spacers to limit the front end from rising on steep crawls...less load shifting to the rear. The video below is prior to performing these mods. In the third scene where I back down the rock face, I was able to slow crawl and conquer that section after the mods. My 10 year old son took the video.

Overall weight is 7lb 12.6oz without the battery. (3.53kg)
Wheelbase is now 12.5 inches.

I love how the driver and passenger heads bob within the cab!

The cab and chassis have their first signs of rock rash now....I had to fight back that tear!!!!

Man, that truck is to die for... lovin' the sidewall wrinkle in the vid, and the blue you chose looks perfect - I have a spare Vaterra K10 cab waiting to be painted up with own my can of it.

Really like the beadlock rings as well, and of course I'm a fan of MT/Rs in any size!

Thanxs durok. I'm glad I only had to paint the cab and not a full body because each can of PS-49 is $24.50 CDN at my LHS! Regular PS paint is $13.00 CDN per can. The RC4WD MT/Rs are such an awesome tire in both looks and performance.

Great video Bil. Its always good to get those first few scratches out of the way. The drivers heads are perfect, they are lucky they can't get whiplash!! Also those are some killer backyard rocks to have there.

Thanxs again guys. I'm pretty lucky to have a backyard perfectly suited for testing my crawlers performance.

I like the 4.75’s. Curious whether the 4.19’s perform that well. Like the look of the 1.7’s better though
