Wow can't even start to express the detail and all the hard work. I know the long hours that are needed to make something you want a reality.

Once fitment is verified, John will create an assembly guideline, and I will be picking up the Lexan sheet order, and pulling some bodies. John or I will update the thread when we know more in a day or two.

I have been burning the midnight oil on the project in spite of 50+ hour work weeks plus part-time teaching, and will continue to do so until the orders are out the door.....
Ah man that's slick... I knew you'd blow it outta the park.. Great work and I can't wait to get a couple of these bad boys.. Great work and we all appreciate the late and long hrs I hope to grab one b4 my next big gtg

I am picking up a large order of Lexan tomorrow, and will pull a few test bodies for final inspection in Lexan. The parts I pulled in .040" PVC last night fit together and on our Wraith chassis perfectly. I don't foresee any issues with forming with Lexan.

The only thing missing were Lexan conical standoffs to act as spacers between the body and the chassis. I machined those into the mold plate this evening, and they will be included with the body.

Aside from sending an order of bodies to Corey @ RPP, RCC is the only place I have given the Blazer any exposure. The members here are my top priority for getting their orders.

With little unforeseen issues, I plan on beginning pulling bodies, starting a sales thread, and shipping Friday afternoon / Saturday morning.

I see light at the end of the tunnel on this project........

Im just asking this to see, but do you guys plan on making a styrene body eventually?
By Styrene, do you mean an injection-molded body?

Well, good news and bad news...

The good news is it trims out great and fits great.

The bad news is that I paint like crap. (This is not lexan, it's a PVC test shot).

I will add pics as I make them, and time allows.

Feel free to ask questions, as long as it doesn't pertain to why it isn't done yet.......
here is a redneck version that I made from hacking up my 72 wheely king body...

On the styrene thing: We can't injection mold it. I think we could pull styrene shots in .050 or .060 or higher, but it probably won't have the strength of an injection molded part and won't be as tear/crack resistant as Lexan.

We need to finish up a few little pieces of tooling and I have to get the instructions and masks done. I was thinking a nice 5-10 minute Youtube video close up on my hands while I trim one out would be usefull, I'll edit out the swears. Hey maybe I'll get an acting career out of this. I can see it now..."You talkin' to me?...You talkin' to me...Are you talkin' to me?! Well I don't see anybody else here."

It's late, I'm rambling.
Lol, I get it, and I dunno if I said it, but I want a body when there ready.

Can I get one without the holes cut in the grill for the front bumper? cuz I took mine off.

Thanks dude

On the Wraith, making a flip up hood should be no problem I designed the hood to fall directly on the four mounting points. The Wraith's front bumper extensions locate the body on the frame pretty well. And with using two lower side mount screws it should be solid. You can also use the two rear/upper screws for really solid location, but I don't think it will need them. If you are going to do the hood mod I would also use the upper front fender mount point.

Are there any tire rubbing issues on the front? Right now my front tire hits the front bumper at full lock, looks like the fender could be in the contact zone.
